With the button selector on 2HI it'll run in 2WD, but if the front wheels slip, like when I came out of a field the other day on to pavement, the four wheel drive kicks in telling me that it is in AWD rather than 2HI. I can back the truck up a ways and disengage the front hubs and it goes back into 2WD. The lights on the buttons don't change, still says it's in 2HI. What's wrong with it to keep it in AWD instead of being in 2HI?
I've also noticed that with it in 2HI, when taking sharp turns on pavement in a parking lot, the front tires grab a little as if in 4WD both traveling forward and backward. It's not as "hard" of a grab as if actually in 4HI, but it's not normal 2WD either.
