1999 2.5" Leveling lift with 33"

Have a very nice 1999 Tahoe Z71 4X4, would like a leveling lift, new shocks and 33" tires. Local shop said from my stock 16" wheels the set up will raise the truck 5" which is enough for me. My question will I have to re gear or do any trimming? Will this effect my ride quality?

It will negatively affect your ride quality and gas mileage harshly.
If you go off-road with this setup you will need trimming. If you’re mall crawling no issues unless the tires are extremely wide with no spacers example from custom offsets but with 22” wheels you can see how close they are to scrubbing the wheel well. Basically all level kits are built the same with the Torsion keys. However Depending on suspension wear and tear you may sit slightly lower and rub or be unable to fit tires that fit on this one.
