im doing a top end rebuild on my old mans truck . we figured since we are in there we might as well do the timing chain. to do the chain we have to drop the oil pan. so my question to you guys is can i sneek the pan out without removing the engine from the truck?

I did this a while back and just jacked up the engine a couple inches above the front mounts. If the oil pan keeps getting hung up, turn the crank to adjust position of counter weights (not sure what the real name is). Took me a while to figure that trick out.
