do your parking lights work when head lights are turned on? if so then something is wrong with the head switch or rheostat inside. if not then the fuse "pk lps" #9 on same fuse block.

only one fuse left to check and then wiring or head switch. that is **** fuse "lighting" under the hood 50A closest to the battery terminal but if the head lights, courtesy lights, dome lamps, power mirrors and drls still work that fuse is fine. i would just go after the head switch.

then the only thing left is the wiring itself. is there any specific dash light that does and does not work? and what do you mean gauge mount?

No the only thing that does not work is the lights behind the gauges. What Isn't was the whole dash board is what I replaced.

i am sorry i did not quite understand that last part. so the gauge cluster nite lights don't work but all warning indicators do? and the lights in the radio and havc control head are fine?

Yep that is it all of the warning lights work and radio etc. Sorry I don't know what it is called I think it is the gauge face kit. I had bought a new one and the gauge lights still didn't work

oh you mean the cluster assembly then. with the cluster removed the connector has two grey wires. both have a yellow wire next to it. you want the one that has a yellow on one side of it and a tan/white wire on the other side of the gray wire. when the head switch is on and the dimmer put on full brightness (but not interior courtesy locked on as is not needed) you should see system voltage on the wire. if socket is numbered it would be cavity 29. after that illum fuse the output splits into 10 different wires on of which goes to you cluster for illumination.
