1995 yukon starting issues?

New to me is my yukon,, sometimes will not start, turn the key and nothing.. Dash lights up and fuel pump can be heard..... Wait bout 15 mins and then will start with no problems.. Thought maybe security system but do not have factory remote.. Any kind of info would be helpful.

Do you have spark and fuel when it doesn't want to start?

yes... only thing that lights up are the dash lights.. gettin an aftermarket alarm installed saturday

Good idea, trucks broke, get extra shit installed. Hahahaha

You probable have a bad wire at the battery, mine used to do that when I first got it. When I swapped the cabled out it stopped.

All the warning lights comes on.. Then nothing... Some say it bcuz of the factory security system but do not have the remote...

if you mean they all go out suddenly on there own or when you start it then clean your battery cable terminal ends as well as check your grounds.

when i turn the key on tha dash lights up then when try to start it nothing... has only happen twice in two weeks since i owned it.. goin to check and replace battery cables

you have a 95, I don't think you have factory security stuff, they were all aftermarket. I have some lame prolock things in mine that was installed by the dealer for the first guy:

Ok you need to give us more details man your not helping us help you.

Is the starter cranking and the engine won't start? Or the starter doesn't crank at all? If it's not cranking can you hear the starter solenoid click when you turn the key?

yeah if the moment you turn the key everything dies if that is what you mean either something is goofy with connections, ignition switch or battery supply.

just try cleaning them first dont spend money on stuff unless it is damaged somehow.

WHEN i turn the key nothing.. all dash lights up, can hear fuel pump but no crank no attempt to crank.. NOTHING....its like its no battery connection but after bout 15 - 20 mins then its fine. and will start like there is nothing wrong..

Go over the battery connections and clean them and tighten them up. Or if the cable terminals are worn out, buy new ones.
