'16 Yukon Front Sitting Low

Hello all,

Proud owner of a new-to-me 2016 Yukon XL Denali. Love the truck but the shocks are more than blown. I've ordered the ACDelco Rears and plan to do that soon.
The fronts are also completely shot to the point that it feels unsafe taking a fast turn on an uneven surface.
I plan to replace the front shocks with factory units, but am wondering if the front end will sit higher or if I should replace the springs as well. Right now the front seems too low to me. For example the air dam scrapes on the parking lot stoppers, that feels like it shouldn't.

Anyways, would love to know the original height of the front end and if anyone can share their experience with keeping original springs while replacing shocks.

I changed out my shocks all around at 150,000 miles, and I replaced all 4 springs, as well. After the change, my front end was 1/2" higher than before. Springs do lose their strength and height over time. You may not find springs for the front, as they were already discontinued for my 07 Yukon XL Denali, so I used Moog springs with a compatible part number cross reference. For the rear springs, purchase OEM springs, and make sure that they are the springs specifically for the Denali rear air suspension.

I bought a new to me 2016 Tahoe LTZ with Z95 Magna-Ride suspension.
and the front shocks failed within the 6 months of purchase.
The "Rake" on the Tahoe is nose down, the front fender gap maybe 4~5 inches,
but the rears maybe 8~10 inches. surprisingly the rears have not failed yet.

And after I replaced the front shocks, the same ride height.
But others have reported a "rise" in front when replacing front shocks.

there are too many "replaced front shocks" to keep track of which one
reported a increase in ride height due to shock replacement.

physically, shocks are to dampening the ride and can not raise your ride height.
the springs are what determine ride height with "stock" suspension.

I have coilovers on my rice burner and ride height controlled by the coil spring
and not the dampener.

how many miles are on your Yukon XL Denali?
Looks to be OEM 22 inch rims, are you running stock 285/45R22 size tires?
What are you ground to fender lip measurements at each corner of the vehicle?

if it is new to you, have you looked under the front end to see if the previous owner lowered it in some fashion? such as mounting the shocks under the lower control arm?
the springs do not wear out, even if the shock was toast, you would just have a rough ride, not a lowered front end, now the rear is a different story if the airshocks are blown out the rear will slump a bit and more under a load.
