This is my first truck with a 5.3. Mainly had 6.0 and 6.2's. Anyways I've only ever done muffler swaps on those with MagnaFlow and been happy. Performance wise, is it better to go with a cat back system for the 5.3?

On these GM vehicles, exhaust are only for sound, unless you're pushing serious horsepower

Ya I figuered as much. I might try the borla and keep my stock resonator. Corsa is my favorite but just cost to much.
