Basically the shocks are holding up the back of the truck instead of the springs. It's a harsher ride, but they still have flex to them.

If the shocks are supporting ANY weight ("holding up the back of the truck instead of the springs"), then they are bottomed out. Any "flex" you may feel is from their internal "bump stops" (if so equipped) and the sidewall flex of the tires. But, still riding on bottomed-out brand-new shocks. :(

Not trying to pick on or piss anyone off. But it is damaging to the shocks to ride like that.

It's just for a couple days and less than 100 miles. It'll be ok. And I can promise you they are not bottoming out:

Looking into upgrading my front sway bar and maybe adding a rear sway bar. Will probably get more serious about it in a few weeks but my stock sway bar is definitely showing it's age after 14 years and a million miles. I know about Belltech and Hellwig for these trucks. Any one else have insight for nice sway bar upgrades for these trucks?

There are differences, yes. Just seeing if there are other companies out there that I'm not finding or thinking about.
