Just picked up a 2007 z71 tahoe about a month ago and Installed a 3.5 inch rough country lift and 35s this week. Finally got it in for an alignment yesterday and they had some trouble with it. Drivers front they got to -0.70 camber, 2.35 caster and .09 toe. Passenger front they could only get -1.65 camber 0.70 caster and thy set the toe at 0.04 toe. I noticed the upper control arms are almost touching the bottom of the mount toward the front of the truck on both sides. I though the truck was stock but I'm questioning the front strut/spring assembly. Is stick or is there an extra spacer in there? 20151017_132710.jpg20151017_132652.jpg

The 3.5" kit is pure awful! It does that with the kit. Doesn't look like any extra spacers to me. Just dump the kit or order some cheap eBay lower diff drop brackets.

I pulled the strut assembly out and found that it had a 1 inch spacer already. Driver side is done and passenger side is going back together.
What is wrong with their kit?

Well glad you found a extra spacer that was killing it. That kit wears out the suspension parts because the front is only safe to stretch lift 2.5" and this kit is 3.5. It puts all the components at bad angles. When I refer to stretch I mean no differential drop so the lower control arm is just pushed down to gain height. Here is my angles of a 7" true lift with almost flat angles. This can be stretched 2 more inches and still have safe angles but not 3.5.
