I have a 2007 tahoe ltz with 75000 miles, I get vibration when i hit bumps in the road from 45ish mph and up if the road is smooth I get no vibration. I also get no vibration in the steering wheel. Best I can tell is that it is coming from the rear. It is not the tires put after market ones on and there was zero change. I did however put knew u joints in and it stopped for a couple weeks. I've searched high and low and have not seen a definite answer. Any link or help would be greatly appreciated.

hhrpdr,

I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with vehicle. Have you spoken with a dealership to get a diagnosis?

Thank you!

I have not spoken to a dealership yet because of what I have been reading you better have the issued diagnosed yourself before you go there cause they either don't care or they say that's how its suppose to be.

hhrpdr,

I completely understand. If you do take it to the dealership, please let me know what the diagnosis is.

Thank you!

Spoken to dealership said vibration was u joints replaced. Said sqeak/grown noise front left tire was rust on rotor I paid eighty dollars for them to turn them. Drove it five feet noise is still there told it is not fixed. The next day I had to go in cause they couldn't hear it. Guess what I heard it plain as day. He had to bring another younger better hearing tech to actually hear. He said all the ball joints and suspension felt great and it must be a driveline issue, I said great its covered. He made me feel like it was an inconvenience to him to locate the problem. I said great start digging I have a loaned so I got time. Seriously what gives!? GM YOU RECEIVE AN F!!!!!!!!

Don't give GM the F! Give it to the dealership you went to. I have always had a fair experience with GM and MOST dealerships. There are always some bad apples out there though.

hhrpdr,

I am sorry to hear that you did not have a pleasant experience with your dealership. Does that dealership still have your vehicle? Also, you can speak with the Chevrolet Customer Assistance center to file a formal complaint or I can do it for you.

Thank you!

Got it back. Replaced u joints. And front end noise ended up being a service bulletin. 10-03-08-002A. Now I should let you know this tsb was not diagnosed by the dealership it was by a friend of mine that works for a honda dealership. He had diagnosed an avalanche that had the same issue. Can anyone explain why they didn't research this and find this out, but someone at a honda dealership did.

hhrpdr,

I’m glad that you got your vehicle back! Unfortunately, I can’t determine why your local dealership did not research the issue. You would need to confirm with them. I do apologize for the inconvenience. Please let me know if you have anymore issues with your vehicle.

Thank you!

Well the vibration is still there. Elizabeth if you are curious why this dealership is not researching these issues before they say its "fixed" you can call and ask them. Ryan auto mall buffalo minnesota. I am finding out more that is wrong with these than they are.

Guess I might have to try that cause the noise is still there after another visit. Got a knew drive shaft this time though. No vibrations at higher speeds, for now.

You had the same issue when hitting bumps? What did it cost you for shocks?
