Steering vibration

Hey guys! I have a 2015 Tahoe ltz and this thing has had a vibration in the steering wheel at about 60-75 mph. It doesn’t feel like a balance issue, just a rumbling vibration in the steering wheel the kind of resonates. Like vibrate, dies down, vibrate, die down, vibrate, die down. I’ve read about “buffeting” with these things but I don’t know if my vibrations correlate with the term buffeting. The vibration is very “fine” if that makes sense.

It has the factory 20’’ wheels on it

I don’t feel it anywhere else in the vehicle, just in the steering wheel. Any ideas?

Pics of tread wear. Tread depth? Tire pressures? Rotate front tires to rear and see if vibes go away. Remember to torque wheels to correct torque. I believe is 140 foot lbs.

Torque spec is likely in your owners manual.

Tires a maybe 3000 miles old, so no signs of wear, but I had this same thing with the previous ones. I just changed the oil Saturday and they’re due for a rotation.

The previous set were out of balance as they felt like basketballs on the interstate. These are much better

Might want to have the tires "road force" balanced.

If it’s not in the tires or wheels, I’d look for a worn bushing. If it’s only a slight vibration it could easily be a slightly worn bushing. Control arms, tie rod, ball joints. Again, if it’s slight, it likely won’t be hand loose. Unless you have a lift and giant channel locks or oversized pry bars it’s probably worth getting it checked at a shop they can diagnose a loose bushing pretty easily.
