2013 Yukon XL Denali bought with 97k miles. Now at 259k with what seems like a low 7548 hours. Original engine, second transmission. Tuned out DOD about 120k miles ago. Engine definitely starting to get a bit rough. Fuel mileage been dropping

I just noticed my fuel use zeroed out when I disconnected the batteries to change the steering sensor. The hours didn’t fortunately.

Nope, you have it right. But unless you're talking about a Boeing 737, your hour meter got reset somehow along the way.

The Hours reset somehow. The fuel used on mine showed 9,999+ for a long time. Now it’s a couple of hundred. No idea how it reset.

When I purchased my 2014 in 2019 it had around 2800 hours at 97K
So I did the math and I was very happy. must have been a highway queen and
not much idle time or stop and go !!!!
