So I recently painted them when I painted the grille. Also painted a rear keyless handle to replace the front passenger side, so no doors will have keyholes in them (theft deterrant)View attachment 221166 View attachment 221167 View attachment 221168yes everything will get a wet sand after curing.
I’ll be the odd man out.... lol. I don’t like the OBS mirrors on the NBS trucks. Just not right in my opinion. But good luck with it if that’s the route you decide to go.

Kind of a crazy idea. Got some obs mirrors. Gonna be a time consuming project of trial and errors. Messed with them last fall but didn’t have time to go too deep into the fabrication so they were put on the back burner, only mocked them up. At first glance they look better and sportier imo , and make the stock mirrors look like dumbo ears now.View attachment 221158View attachment 221159 View attachment 221160View attachment 221161

No, I agree with you there. I know Street Scene came out with a set of OBS-style mirrors for the NBS and I saw 'em on a bagged '99 Silverado... looked pretty sporty for sure.

Kinda had the same idea for Dakota mirrors on a 2nd Gen ram.... same reasons.

Lol yea I guess ram mirrors were never sporty till the 4th gens. Dakota mirrors would look clean :hmm:

Street scene makes sport mirrors for ours and I wanted to get them but they looked too small for the suv, but looked good on the pickups imo. So that's why I went with the obs mirrors. Some had a blinker on the front and I wasnt a fan of that.

Haha... yeah I see what you mean. On a Tahoe, it would kinda make it look like Meatlug from How to Train Your Dragon

Since I wire brushed and cleaned the frame up in the rear when I did the free travel mod I desperately needed to do it to the front. While I had it up in the air I just took off all 4 tires and rotated them. Painted the rear calipers at the same time (+40hp). Also wire brushed the rotor for cleaner look against the newly painted calipers .
