05 Tahoe serpentine belt tensioner

my 05 Tahoe LT original serpentine belt tensioner has 3 bolts, GM part 12580162. Ordered new one and it has only 2 bolt holes, GM part 12609719. What I read online says that this is a direct replacement and to throw out the 3rd bolt. Anyone have any experience with this. Thanks.

2 bolt design replaces 3 bolt design. that is correct you are good to go.
