Hello,

I have an 04 GMC Yukon SLE 5.3L. Recently "Oil Pressure Low" came on so changed oil pressure sensor/switch for duralast one but didnt solve problem. Then we proceeded to change oil pump. Oil pump screen and oil pan was very dirty so cleaned out screen and oil pan, replaced oil pump with melling oil pump and rebuilt. Still no luck! Decided to change oil pressure sensor for ac delco after hearing reports non-oem ones were no good. Still no luck. On a gauge connected to the oil pressure sensor compartment, pressure reads about 8 PSI at 1000RPM, 18-20 PSI at 2000RPM, basically it follows exactly what manufacture specifies pressure should be on a gauge. Oil pressure marker on car basically marks these numbers but dealership says on instrument panel with car on idle, oil pressure should read 38. Also when we drive car engine makes no irregular sounds indicating oil pressure is low, never has. Out of ideas, any suggestions??
