03 tahoe no horn

Kinda new to the site and could use a little help
Bought a retired police 03 tahoe any tips for the horn no sound fuses ok can hear the switch click
Looked around didn’t find any cut wires

run power to the horn, see if it sounds off, it might be dead.

Isn't this a pretty common issue with the ppvs?

they run a push switch to the horn usually in the dash somewhere instead of using the airbag horn. or you can check the contacts behind the airbag. a good cleaning with the scotch pad on the base and contacts should do the trick.

ive done the air bag wire cleaning before. air back comes off real easy. theres two holes on each side, push a nail or awl in the holes you'll feel it hit a spring loaded lever and it will pop free.

do you have to wait for the bags to discharge don’t want it to pop

you dont even have to unplug it, has maybe 6 inches of wire to it.

but when i do unplug them i like to pull the neg cable off the battery first.

If your relay is clicking I would go to the factory horn location. Get a test light and have someone push the horn from inside. I used to install police package’s for ford and Chevy they normally had us unplug the factory horn’s at the physical horn. Hope that helps, also any kind of airbag work your doing make sure that battery is disconnected.

update i jumped wire to horn works
no power when hitting the horn on the steering wheel
checked at horn plug it self. I can hear the horn switch on the steering wheel click
relay under hood makes no noise. ive been digging around under dash nothing so far
