Have any of you guys with a Denali had any luck with aftermarket headlights? I ordered a set off eBay and the first set was wrong and the second set was broken.

I currently have black projectors with morimoto. But I like the clear style with just led bulbs.

I ordered projectors off amazon. I wish for the life of me I could remember the name. They dont show up in my account anymore for some odd reason. I had to return them. They wouldnt fit. Plus they had no connectors on them :( They were prime example of why Chinese manifacturing isnt always the best.

I really liked the eBay ones minus the fact that they were broken. I asked for a new set but they insist on just giving me my money back.

So now maybe I'll try Amazon. Or the junk yard for some stock ones and clean them up

I kept the lights and i'm gonna try to epoxy them back together and cross my fingers haha.

What kind of LED fog lights are you guys running for the Denali? Is it a different size than a Z71 tahoe?

Usually the mounting brackets on the aftermarket lights are terrible. It's a good idea to try to use your old oem brackets if possible.

I see the main problem in the lower left photo, it says "Made in China" I have an `06 Denali and I bought some Spyder headlights I purchased on Ebay. They are made in Taiwan.
You may be able to plastic weld that broken piece. I had a similar problem on my `02 Sierra.
Just kidding about the made in China part, seems so much is now. There is a lot of junk out there.

These are the Spyder headlights I bought.
The seller is oemassive. I really like these lights and the quality was better than the last set I bought. Specifically the part where you put the oem pins thru.
There were no instructions for the wiring, but after some trial and error, I figured it out. I only paid $139. for this set.
Good luck!!

Anyone know how I can convert my old assemblies from hid to led? I don't wanna hook up the hid again but the new lights I bought broke again so I'm gonna go back to the old black ones until I figure out a new route.

You need to know the bulb type those use and buy the bulbs and ballasts but that doesn’t even make sense since you can just hook up your hid ballasts. Both LED and HID require ballasts designed for that bulb type so if you want LED (which don’t work as well as HID in projectors) you’ll have to buy and install LED ballasts.

OK I have no high or low beams at all now. Switched housings and tried the led in both and regular bulbs.....nothing at all. Drl, parking and fog lights work just fine.

What do y'all think? They worked normal up until today

Did you check the fuses?
And what do you mean by you “tried the led in both and regular bulbs” ? With LED did you hook up the ballasts?

Try reversing the plug from the truck to the ballast. Iirc I have to do that to mine, the polarity is opposite. The plug will go either way but where the clip snaps, it goes on the opposite side and won’t clip if that makes sense. If you look at that plug, the way it looks like it’s supposed to get plugged in is actually wrong. Plug it in so it looks backward (the clip won’t click together) and I’ll bet you have your lights back. Same with a HID ballast. BTW I use those LED’S on my high beams, they’re good. Not sure about in the projector low beam though.

Could it possibly be the light switch in the truck being bad? I've tried two different housings and both led bulbs and halogen bulbs.

The high beam light still doesn't come on the dash when I try to turn them on. But the chime goes off when i turn the switch on and turn the key off to remind me to turn the lights off.

Could be. I would try what I suggested with the harness and using the new LED ballasts/ bulbs. The last guy I was helping with no headlights turned out he had 2 bad halogen bulbs. Unless you can verify those halogens work by plugging them into another vehicle I wouldn’t trust them. The LED are new so you know they’re good.

OK I'll look into ordering a new one. Hopefully it's that simple.
