The end result is nice. The biggest pain in the ass in this was fighting all the wires behind the radio :Stupid Me: So far the only complaint on this is the screen hitting the gear shifter when I crank it. I may be able to go in the setting and change this I'll have to check into that

That's why I got rid of mine. Kept hitting the shifter, which got to be VERY annoying.

I worked in a car audio shop back in the day, and I remember when the 99 trucks came out, and then the 00 Tahoe's and Yukon's. We installed a LOT of the flip up screens because they were VERY popular at the time. We used to remove the gear shifter and put it in a vise and bend it just slightly. The bend was enough that the screen cleared with no problem, but not so bent that it was obviously bent.

Is it not working at all? Or is it working but there is no sound? If its working but no sound, check that pink wire. I saw the picture of how you spliced into it with that blue "T-tap" splice. Those things are nothing but trouble. I would cut and strip the wire and use a butt connector like you did on the other wires. I can't tell you how many alarm and stereo system repairs I have done over the years due to those T-taps.

Thanks for chiming in Scotty inputs always appreciated. A little update on the radio ordeal yea the wire did come out of that little splice connector. As soon as I got it wired back in speakers started playing...now I'm still unsure if this way or cutting the wires at the plug is better for bypassing the amp. Anyways ran into another issues besides the speaker ordeal, I was losing power randomly. I took everything out of radio basket and looked around. Found that when it was pushed back and locked in the radio basket was wedging the plug on the back side of the radio. I did a little trimming and rearranging of wires and it's working. Fingers crossed hope I don't have anymore issues with it

I had to break off that thick metal brace in the first pic to fit my double din.

Welllll picked up my NBSS complete intake up today for $50. I'm pretty stoked about it honestly it's about time the Tahoe got something performance wise. I'm gonna try and use the nnbs fuel rails c5 return less fuel filter and go ahead and bypass the coolant line in the TB. Considering how high the x-link is to run the 87 mm, I think I'll go ahead and just buy the 4 to 3 bolt adapter for the time being. I know this swap is pretty straight forward and simple but if anyone has input please go ahead and chime in

Definitely keep us updated on your progress. What adapter are you talking about? Is the nnbs Tb bigger then the nbs?

After a little research this came of an Lh6 5.3 which came out in 05. It started in the Trail Blazers and apparently used from 07-09 on the trucks. To answer your question the TB on this intake is 87 mm ours is 78. Our TBs are also 3 bolt this one is 4 bolt. I could use an x-link harness to use the 87 mm but there $240 and that's just out of budget right now. The adapter plate is $40 to run your factory TB

There's other brands in pretty sure summit sells one aswell. I'm on the hunt for a harness right now and trying to find out the injector # for the lh6 to see if I can use them

Mine came off my buddies 06 trail blazer ss with the LS2 6.0. Mine looks a little different different, if that's the same intake.
