So I have a Kenwood double din sitting around so I decided to go ahead and buy the radio cage and bezel off eBay. After purchasing the 2 items. I remembered how I hate the sound quality of aftermarket stereos. Can someone make me feel better about the upgrade I was excited to do. :/

Did you buy a 03-06 dash bezel? I want to do this and add a back up camera as well. I just installed a double din an F350 and its pretty sweet kept steering controls as well which is key with the Axxess USWC interface.
Its on my to do list for sure for my 2002 Denali. I don't want to hack up dash but don't want to loose the look of the denali bezel either.

DO IT!!

EBay has the 03-06 denali bezel with radio cage listed all of the time. Easy swap. You can keep your old dash bezel and radio cage if you ever wanted to swap back.

I'm doing the upgrade. Very impressed with the ease of the install. Everything is done Just need to get the wiring harness and dash kit. Very nice upgrade.

1/2" wood spacers for the hvac controls. Trim the bezel to fit the contour of the hvac. You need to trim a few things on the 03-06 radio cage. And there is a metal bracket behind the stereo that everyone was cutting out. It is riveted to the dash, with a little bit of Prying I got the river to pull out of the dash. Then bend the bracket backwards. Hvac tabs need cut off the controls. Also I had to trim down the ashtray to open. Not a smoker, but like everything to
Still be functional. Very simple with the correct tools and know how. Highly recommend you do this. I have to pull everything back apart tonight because I forgot to run the microphone for the Bluetooth. So let me know if you need pics of anything.

02yukxl, that bezel isn't a Denali is it? At least it doesn't look like my 02 Denali one. Mine has wood grain around the perimeter and I can't find one on EBay but the regular Yukons like the one in your picture are there. I'm just wondering if your truck is a Denali. Those bezels are also easier to mod than the Denalis if you want to use the original also; mine curves inwards around the radio/heater controls instead of being flat like yours.
