Dragging front brake even after replaced the caliper

I put front hoses on it and bled the front brakes again. Stops great but the left rotor still gets hotter than the right. Remember, the LF caliper is a new reman. The last thing I can think of is maybe the piston on the RF caliper is sticky. It’s the only thing up front that isn’t new.

Dragging front brake even after replaced the caliper

Thanks for the replies. I picked up the hoses today.

Dragging front brake even after replaced the caliper

I’m at my wits end with the brakes on my 2009 Yukon XL. A few weeks back I put on new Hawk pads and Stop Tech slotted rotors. The truck stops great and I love the improvement in stopping power and feel. It also stops true, no pulling to one side at all. But…the driver’s side front brake...

The drops are very brief, less than a second.

Sudden drops in fuel pressure (seen via BlueDriver scan tool) 09 Denali XL

I have an 09 Denali XL with the 6.2. Lately I’ve experienced a once-in-a-while stumble in the first few minutes of running. It usually happens with a cold engine, in the first mile of driving, upon tipping in the throttle after coasting for a distance (the road from my house is downhill). It...

Front seat upgrade / swap / custom / adapted custom

Your sig says you have a 2002 Tahoe. GMT800 truck seats are a direct fit into a 2002 Tahoe. If you have a 2007-2009 Tahoe, GMT800 seats are also a direct fit in terms of the mounting holes. They will be a tight squeeze on the B pillar trim but not enough to prevent them from fitting.

Front seat upgrade / swap / custom / adapted custom

Picked up a GM service kit of jumper wires and now have power to the GMT800 seats in all directions of adjustment and power lumbar. Much more better than the 900 seats but still reversible if I sell the Yukon.

Thank you, Nick. I’ll plan to get it to a reputable trans shop before long and will revisit your thread for additional info.

    6l80 flares, thunks cold upshifts

I’ve read thru the 6l80 threads but haven’t seen anything exactly like what I’m seeing with my 2009 Yukon Denali XL. The truck has just under 164k miles. 1. When cold and under light throttle or if I have to lift throttle slightly just before a 1-2 or 2-3 up shift, the transmission will shift...

Front seat upgrade / swap / custom / adapted custom

Update on this: the GMT800 front seat mounting points are direct fit for GMT900. I find the older seats much more comfortable, so I picked up a pair in nice condition and dropped them in. They clear the center condole fine. The B-pillar area is a snug fit because of the shape of the seat belt...

    Another persistent P0420

Hi, sorry for the delayed reply. I don’t get notifications for whatever reason. No check engine light, no issues so far after a few thousand miles.

    Another persistent P0420

Yes, Magnaflow is 1200 or maybe 1000 if you catch a coupon. Walker is the most affordable, less than even GM OE. Prices on all of them are way up since 2018-19. Magnaflow...

Walker 50486. Nice stainless y-pipe and cats. Just need gaskets, sold separately.

    Another persistent P0420

As a wrap-up, if your money was on cats, you were right. New Walker stainless Y-pipe and cats and she finally passes emissions. The coolant temp sensor data was valid. The idle was smoother after I cleaned the MAF and the long term fuel trims dropped down to -4 to -6 range from -14.1. I...

    Another persistent P0420

Appreciate the thoughts. Since the exhaust manifold is positively pressurized while the engine is running, it doesn't seem like air would be pulled in through a leak, but maybe it could be drawn in between pulses? I'm reading some explanations like yours and it seems a leak will allow...

    Another persistent P0420

Thanks, good suggestions. Couple of things to add: Soapy water test on cold exhaust manifold shows leak at driver's side rear. Based on the sound, it seems to close up when warm. This may not be the only leak since I can't see the underside of the manifold from the top, with the hood up. I...

    Another persistent P0420

I could use some help fighting a persistent P0420 for bank 1 catalyst low efficiency, please. 2009 Yukon Denali 6.2, no DOD, 157,000 miles. OE replacement paper air filter is clean-looking. Truck is new to me and must pass emissions inspection before I can register it. Long term fuel trims...

Are the 2015-20 seats any better? I guess it would be worth the trouble if they are. Appreciate the link, I’ll check it out.

Front seat upgrade / swap / custom / adapted custom

Has anyone completely swapped out GMT 900 front seats for something more comfortable? The GMT 800 seats were pretty nice, even if there wasn’t much lateral support. The front seats in my 09 Denali are flat and hard and very uncomfortable after a couple of hours on the road. You can swap in...
