    Tech 2 scanner vs Autel

From that list it seems like it does a lot more, especially some of the minor stuff. Think I might get one just in case I ever need it. Is obdii.shop a reputable place? They have a tech 2 with gm software for $240...

    Tech 2 scanner vs Autel

It really varies by vehicle, almost all of them will do ABS functions. On my Cadillac I could do thing with the trans like cycle gears and disabling torque converter lockup. Here’s a list from one of the models I’m looking at (Launch): ——2024 Welcomes 5 Additional Service Functions: 1.E.GR...

    Tech 2 scanner vs Autel

I have the MaxiDAS DS808K. Buying any OBD scanner is confusing as hell as there are multiple sellers for Autel and they all use their own model number variants. I’m looking at getting another Launch has a number of good ones but again trying to do a comparison is very frustrating as there are...

    Tech 2 scanner vs Autel

I have a 2011 Yukon XL, I keep seeing people recommending getting a Tech 2 scanner but if I already have an Autel bi-directional scanner can it do everything the Tech 2 can? Or are there specific functions that only the Tech 2 can do? If so what’s the best cheap source for them, I know there are...

Center console cigarette lighter not working

Well that was fun getting that receptacle out. I got the Dorman T tool and it fit inside and was able to pull it out about a half inch but from there it was firmly stuck and the tool would not come out either. I did remove the console (just pry up starting from bottom) and tried wiggling and...

Center console cigarette lighter not working

Ha, my kids want to charge their stuff. See I need a special T tool to pull the socket out, the GM one is like $75 but their is a Dorman one for $16 on Amazon.

Center console cigarette lighter not working

Checked the wiring diagram and both center console outlets are served by the same fuse (16). So I guess I have to tear into the console and see if it’s the wiring or the jack itself.

Center console cigarette lighter not working

My center console cigarette lighter external port does not work. I’ve checked the two fuses (16 internal, 53 external) and they are both good. The other 4 cigarette ports all work (2 under radio, 1 center console internal and 1 rear area by hatch) and I don’t think that one port has its own fuse...

What brand is the radiator.com one, they only give one choice and list hardly any information about it.

    Radiator options

I had asked Denso and here is their response, they say the 221-9011 is the only one that is correct. I don't know if they are just doing a lookup like I am though...

    Radiator options

They both have it? The pics on the Denso website make it look like they do but they say the 9011 excludes it. The 2 models have slightly different dimensions as well, 221-9514: Core Width (in.): 17.24 in. Core Height (in.): 34.00 in. Core Thickness (in.): 1.26 in. Radiator Inlet Size: 1.339...

    Radiator options

Well I give up, think I'll just go with the OEM one, every website is contradictory. Rock Auto says it's the 221-9011 but that excludes the EOC Denso says it's the 221-9011 but that excludes the EOC NAPA says the 221-9011 is the wrong one and the correct one is the 221-9514 Summit says 221-9514...

Also the Denso website shows that only 221-9011 is for my vehicle, I do have the EOC though as I have metal lines on both sides of the radiator.

    Radiator options

Thanks, was reading over on another forum about Denso and the general consensus was they are good radiators. I'm good with saving $200 over OEM, called the local Chevy dealer and they had one in stock and the guy was like "ah, it's pretty expensive", they wanted $650 for the oem one. Looking at...

Looks like it's the 103285 for the 5.3L for $247, never heard of radiator.com before, are they their own brand?

    Radiator options

Thanks, thought I had looked at Denso but they had no reviews so wasn't sure how well they stack up against OEM. That one isn't the correct model, it lacks the trans/engine cooler, looks like this one is: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/dnp-221-9011/make/gmc/model/yukon-xl-1500/year/2011...

I have a 2011 Yukon XL 1500 SLT with 5.3 and the radiator looks to be leaking a bit on the drivers side so looking to replace it soon. From what I see I have the RPO code K5L which is the enhanced cooling package. The radiator appears to have both the transmission cool and engine oil cooler. On...

Chinacargiags - "gm tech2 lacks the chips"

Yup I have the Autel MaxiDAS DS808K, it was about $800 on Amazon. Autel's line-up is so confusing as they have so much overlap on their many different tablet models and so many different sellers. Make sure you buy one from the official US company so you don't have to ship it back to China if it...

Tech 2 For Sale in Florida

Just wondering if I had an Autel bi-directional scanner would I have a need for a Tech 2? Is there anything unique it does that an advanced 3rd party scanner would not do? I have an Autel MaxiDas DS-808 right now, don’t want to invest in a Tech 2 if I don’t have to.

Need new rear coils for towing?

When I installed my Moog 81069 springs it only rose my rear about 1", if you had 2" drop coils I guess it would be 3" higher but only 1" higher than stock. You're still going to be 2" higher with the 81071 springs. Is your front end stock or is it lowered also?

Need new rear coils for towing?

As others have said, the zw7 doesn't have Nivomats. I have a 2011 ZW7, I replaced the rear shocks with Biltsteins and replaced the rear coils with Moog HD springs which are stiffer than the stock springs. This helped a bit but I still plan to add the Air Lift 60769 1000 Series Rear Air Spring...

    2011 PPV Suspension Overhaul #2 12/20

I used all Mevotech control arms and ball joints on my 2011 when I replaced them last month and was impressed by them as well. I used their Terrain Tough parts which seemed beefy and well built.
