    Air Bag recall

Called a Chevrolet dealer (Scoggin-Dickey in Lubbock, Texas) today and was told by a service writer that I would have to leave my 2010 Chevy Tahoe "for a couple of days" and they would have to "R&R the dash". I assume "R&R the dash" means "Rip-out & Reinstall the newly cracked dash" or...

    Mileage Thread (07+)

My 2010 Tahoe has around 15,800 miles on it. Poor thing hardly ever gets out of the garage to see the sun.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I bought gas today for my Tahoe. Odometer show 14,717. May have to replace the tires sometime around May 2036. Last year, I found some gizzmo in the interior that I had never used before and had to look it up in the owner's manual. LOL

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I didn't do anything to my Tahoe today. I didn't do anything with it yesterday, either. I've got to get it out of the garage a little more so it can get some sun on it. It's so dark in the garage. The poor thing only has around 7,600 miles on it.

Navigation disc spinning after engine shutdown?

If I have a navigation disc inserted, it's normal, and quite annoying, in my 2010 Tahoe. I removed the navigation disc many years ago and started using a Garmin GPS unit. Two problems solved . . . no noise caused by GM's faulty design and a first-class Garmin GPS unit. Just for amusement...

Can you open your lift gate while your truck is parked in your garage?

Keeping in mind that I don't pull my vehicle all the way to the front of the interior of the garage when parking, the lower edge of the rear tailgate of my 2010 Chevy Tahoe touches the rubber trim on the frame of the garage opening when I open the rear tailgate with the garage door up, and that...

    Thank goodness for roadside assistance

I hate to be negative ( ;) ), but here is a warning concerning having roadside assistance through your insurance company: Many insurers consider roadside assistance claims as one predictor of risk, which can impact premiums. Insurance companies are known for keeping track of such information...

Best place to mount a brake controller

I mounted mine using the one existing screw just to left of where the mount is located in the picture above. No use drilling if I don't need to. I don't even come close to having my leg hit the brake controller unit when it is attached to the mount.

    Help ID this underdash pigtail

In the past, most people who ordered our type vehicles did not pay the $200.00 option to have an integrated trailer brake control unit installed at the time the vehicle was manufactured, but a lot of people did pay to get the heavy-duty trailering package and trailering receiver/connector...

    update factory GPS

Not only are the Garmin updates FREE, but they're FREQUENT! And they won't hose other parts of your vehicle. As far as GM getting with it, now that's downright funny. :evillol:

    police package hub caps

Even the police can't stand that God-awful ugly gold color Chevrolet slaps all over everything. There are some real dimwits in GM management.

    Console Safe by Lock'er Down

You're very welcome! I can't think of a bigger-bang-for-the-buck quick upgrade than a Console Safe. I get lots of positive feedback any time someone sees mine.

Am i the only one that hates the 2nd row capt chairs?

Oh, my! There are two things I wouldn't let set foot in my Tahoe: 1. Any dog. 2. Any kid.

2015 Yukon Denali bursts into flames during test drive *VIDEO*

The 2015 Tahoe/Yukon/Escalade/whatever kind of looks like it was designed by the Chevy Volt "team". They're all UGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGLY as sin, and it appears they burn real good. That burning Yukon is the best picture yet I have seen of these new 2015 models. :evillol:

    2015 high price

The babysitter should have given the mother a discount for "bad taste" in vehicle selection. The 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe is UGGGGGGGGGGGGGLY. The 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe just looks unrefined and unfinished. And that "claw" up front by the headlights? How many GM dimwits did it take to...

The OFFICIAL 2015 Tahoe unveiling thread

Yeah, you're doing something wrong. You're not selling drugs. :evillol: And you're not a law enforcement officer driving around in one of those "confiscated" Escalades. :Big Laugh:

    Console Safe by Lock'er Down

tojo152 has a very good suggestion for you, n2advnture. Looking at your pictures, you might need to cut the block at a slight angle to get the bottom of the grip farther away from the wall so the entire weapon lines up better, and away, from the overhang of the lid. As far as leaving the...

    GM Introduces 4G LTE Cars

When distracted drivers start killing people in other cars with this technology, I'll be looking forward to the day that class-action lawsuits are filed by the legal profession against the automotive industry and the cellular providers for allowing moron drivers to diddle with crap that has...

One of the added benefits of having OnStar is the NSA knows where your vehicle is all the time, so if a government spook wants you to go Poof! for instance, well, you just may go Poof!. :evillol:

The OFFICIAL 2015 Tahoe unveiling thread

The excitement is really showing about these new things about to be released. Eight days without a post until mine. :anitoof: Probably the first 2015 Chevy Tahoe mod topic will be entitled: "How to Remove 'The Claw' from the Front". :grd:

A distracted driver finally got me.

Federal law should require all cellular companies to totally disable texting if any motion is detected. I don't care if you're a passenger and want to text; your texting can wait. It can wait a long, long time for all I care.

    2015 Escalade

The fold flat third row wastes space. The police don't need a fold flat third row that wastes space. I sure as hell don't need a fold flat third row that wastes space. I should be able to order a vehicle WITHOUT any third row seats at all. That way I wouldn't need to put the damn things into...
