    Engine Overheating/No Heat

I think all the parts arrived. This is a cooling system overhaul. Pics or it didn’t happen. Radiator, hoses, heater T’s.

    Engine Overheating/No Heat

I will report back. Press, twist, and it makes sense it should stay depressed. I’ve often pushed connectors together and then pull to get them apart. It looks tight in there. Not fun. Thanks again.

    Engine Overheating/No Heat

I just checked and the T’s are original GM parts. Sorry my wording was confusing. The straight and y hoses that go to the T’s are Dorman. Thanks for the tips on removing the clips on the T’s. Someone else mentioned clipping them! I’ll try your way first just in case I need a backup part.

    Engine Overheating/No Heat

Thanks. Yeah, I noticed watching videos of removing and installing a new radiator that the 2014 Yukon was just like the 2013. This has had me confused a number of times I was working on this rig. I cross checked the parts with Dorman and it looks like while Amazon doesn't recognize them as a...

    Engine Overheating/No Heat

Ok, here’s what I’ve got going into the radiator. On the passenger side 5 lines or hoses. On the drivers side 1 hose. Is the Summit radiator linked to in the previous post the one I need? Passenger Driver

    Engine Overheating/No Heat

@Doubeleive, @Joseph Garcia I've got a 2014 and it keeps saying most of the parts linked to won't fit (Amazon). It says this heater hose fits, but it's got the plastic y fitting. unfurl="true"]https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B933FBYF/ref=ox_sc_act_title_5?smid=A3GYAGS013ULEZ&psc=1[/URL]...

    Engine Overheating/No Heat

I don’t like to cheap out on parts. If it turns out to be the radiator I’ll look at the GM first and any other recommendations you guys have. I don’t know what heater T’s are. Sounds like some kind of fitting. I’ll look into them. EDIT: I’ve attached a pic of what I found below. I may go for...

    Engine Overheating/No Heat

Ok, great. I just drove her and left the Yukon at home. I got under it, removed the plastic engine skid and took pics before cleaning it all so I can get a fresh look. It’s all along the bottom of the fan shroud which is just behind the radiator. I couldn’t any in other places. Mostly here and...

    Engine Overheating/No Heat

I have about an hour to get to this before the vehicle is gone to my wife's hair appointment. I'll get under there and do some snooping with my headlamp and flashlight. I'll also clean everything up so that I can identify any new coolant tomorrow. I have lots of cardboard, so i can slip some of...

    Engine Overheating/No Heat

Ok, will do. Thank you. I hope it's something simple like a hose or the surge reservoir tank and not the radiator. Although, this thing is at 157,000miles and I think 150,000 is when you start having issues with the the cooling system. Y'all are a great group on this forum. A lot nicer than...

    Engine Overheating/No Heat

I’m heading home in a minute with the extra coolant. I bought concentrate bc I already have some distilled water on hand and now I’ll have plenty. One question I have is where did all that coolant go? Did it boil and overflow out the pressure release?

    Engine Overheating/No Heat

Here’s where I am. Coolant was low. Nothing visible in the surge reservoir. I had some on hand and followed the instructions in owner manual to add to cold full mark. When I cranked it the level dropped and I added more. I didn’t have enough to bring to the cold full line, but I allowed the...

    Engine Overheating/No Heat

Ok, I’ll check the coolant level in the overflow and radiator first thing this morning. I haven’t noticed a leak, but it’s my wife’s vehicle. I’ll report back. The rig has 157,000mi. Thanks.

    Engine Overheating/No Heat

My 2014 GMC Yukon SLT is running hot (235*), and there’s no heat blowing out the vents. Is this a thermostat issue? Is it stuck closed? Or possibly something else? If it’s the thermostat what brand do I need? Thanks! You guys have been helpful in the past.

2014 Yukon XL 4wd Mild Lift Suggestions

Got the CCM leveling kit installed. It was easier than I expected. 2.5” front and 1” rear. The lift amount was accurate to the prediction, and my tires (275/70/17) now clear the rear of the front fender well! It also looks really good. The change is subtle as far as appearance, but readily...

2014 Yukon XL 4wd Mild Lift Suggestions

Thank you. I bought a size up tire for the Yukon (275/70/17), but they rub just slightly at the rear of the front wheel well where I have an aftermarket mud flap. I tried to grind off some of the guard, but it still rubs when turning in reverse. Frustrating, but should this small lift help me clear?

2014 Yukon XL 4wd Mild Lift Suggestions

I know this is a couple of months old. I ordered a CCM leveling kit for 2014 Yukon with a 2.5” spacer in front and a 1” spacer in rear. Will I need longer shocks in the rear?

2014 Yukon XL 4wd Mild Lift Suggestions

I know what you mean about getting your rig sorted out. My Jeep TJ is in year 3-4 and everything just got perfect, dialing out driveline vibes. But this morning I’m starting on the Jeep XJ 3” Zone and I already broke a bolt. If I did want to refresh my suspension, what would you suggest? I...

2014 Yukon XL 4wd Mild Lift Suggestions

I’ve read several helpful threads on this topic, however, not entirely clear as some have issues at 2.5” lift up front and others don’t. That may be a gray area. My goal is to run 285/70/17’s. I’m at 135,000 miles, original suspension, so the thought of refreshing that with a strut lift in the...

    2014 2” Lift suggestions

I want to do a 2” lift all around on our 2014 Yukon XL 4wd. The purpose is so I can run a little larger tire. I see several front leveling kits, but I’m not interested in doing just the front. I tow a lot and want to keep some rake. What do you suggest?

Need help on a 2007 Chevy Tahoe fuel injector replacement

I did put dielectric grease on each spark plug tip at the boot. Initially no check engine light. 2days later check engine light came on at startup. Will press on with getting a check on the codes. Thanks.

Need help on a 2007 Chevy Tahoe fuel injector replacement

I agree with regard to AutoZone. I wonder if they don’t steer people in a direction so they are able to sell more parts. once when I had nothing when I turned over the key on a Jeep after replacing the plugs 20 minutes before and it was running like a champ, with power at the battery, power at...
