What did you do to your OBS GMT400 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Not today but this last weekend I got the gas tank back in after replacing the fuel pump.

    Fuel pump help

2DR Tahoe here. I’m trying to replace my fuel pump but can’t seem to find the assembly and fuel pump together. I want to keep it OEM and I can find an AC Delco assembly but I’m having trouble finding the pump that goes with it. Does anyone know which pump? I have the following part numbers...

    Very very rough ride

Could it be tires? It came with 245s I put on 285s. It just seems to hit things hard. What am I looking for on the leaf springs exactly?

    Very very rough ride

i just replaced all of the shocks in my Tahoe with new bilsteins thinking it would improve the ride and it's still the same if not worse. I feel every single tiny bump in the road and ones that are an inch or so feel and sound like I just jumped it. It unreal. What would be the cause for such a...

    Wiring off road lights

I bought some round off road led lights and need to get them wired up. I bought a harness for it as well but have questions. It has two leads to battery for power and two to the battery for ground. The wires are in pairs so they pretty much both need to go to the same place. My question is this...

'Hoe is still pulling to the right after alignment

He said they were able to get it without installing the bolts. I'm not sure if they took the knockouts out. I'll know this weekend when I replace all the shocks. I should be able to see it. Hell I might even try to install the bolts myself while I have it off. One question. Do I have to take the...

'Hoe is still pulling to the right after alignment

The front ones had some uneven wear so I thought that was the cause for both that and the extreme shaking at about 73-78 mph

'Hoe is still pulling to the right after alignment

They had it for a couple of days. They had to clear up some codes for me.

'Hoe is still pulling to the right after alignment

That's the thing too. I had taken it to another place a few months ago and they said it needed camber bolts to get it properly aligned but wanted to charge me out the butt for them so I bought them and was going to out them in myself when I found out about this place. He was going to install...

'Hoe is still pulling to the right after alignment

I don't. Their printer was broken. Convenient. This happens on even the left lane where the crown goes to the left. Can bad shocks do this??

'Hoe is still pulling to the right after alignment

just had one done. They said it was in spec. I had the tires rotated also and it feels exactly the same. It's ok at slow speeds but once I get past let's say 50 and I let go of the wheel it goes to the right pretty hard. What else could it be? Had ball joints, tie rods all changed.

    Gearing yet again

So labor is gonna run about $400 a side and then the parts starting at $200 a side. That's without the carrier which can be at least another $400. Ouch.

    Gearing yet again

True true. I think it's either motive or yukon for the most part. I'll find out once these places open up.

    Gearing yet again

Thanks. I'm going to call up the place today and see what they say. Any particular brands to look for or stay away from on the ring and pinion?

    Gearing yet again

It's crazy that my Tahoe came with the towing pkg but with 3.42 gears. I guess with puny 245 75 16s it would be ok. Still though. That sucks.

    Gearing yet again

I won't ever put bigger tires on this thing and it is mainly just my tow vehicle to pull my travel trailer that has a dry weight of 5300lbs. With 33s I'd think that 4.11 is good enough from what I've been reading. Thanks for the info. Can the G80 be done at a later time without much more fuss...

    Gearing yet again

    285 75 16 up from 245 75 16, thus my reference to 33s. I assumed the 75 was a given. My bad.

    Gearing yet again

so I just found out I have 3.42s and a G80. I also have 285s which are roughly equivalent to 33s. I also tow about 6000lbs. It seems to do fine but would like it to do better. Also, when driving without towing, it seems sluggish after about 50mph. Everything I'm reading leads me to believe that...

    Front seat slack

I get the same thing. It happened after a place took the seat off to install an amp around 10 years ago. They said they couldn't get it tightened back up. I'm thinking of hitting it with an impact?
