Interior Door Panels (Reproduction or used OEM)?

Wondering if LMC, Brothers, and Classic Industries are all selling the same product, or three unique products from different manufacturers? If anyone knows about their quality, I'm all ears. . .

    The 2 Doors are now Tweeners . . .

Barn doors. Daily drove it for 15 years. Parked it for the last 5 years and its gets driven once a month towing trailers (150 miles round trip). Currently, I'm tackling all the deferred maintenance. Thinking I might daily drive it again (as new truck prices are crazy). Been tackling a full...

    Replacing a worn front suspension

Being the engine is a crate engine replacement with only 55K miles, I have not had to cross that bridge yet. But it might worthwhile keeping an eye on.

    Replacing a worn front suspension

Considering ditching my wheels and tires (16in Mickey Thompson Type 2/ Goodyear Duratrack 33's) in favor of a new set of 16 in Mickey Thompson Type 3's and another set of Duratrack 33's). It's not that I cannot and sand down/ buff out these wheels to refinish them, it's just with 3 kids, I don't...

    Replacing a worn front suspension

Today's progress, almost got one side buttoned up. As for the torsion bar and lower control arm bushings, I think I'm going to have a shop do it.

    Replacing a worn front suspension

Was beating on the torsion bars today, can't get them to budge in the slightest. Not sure if this would work, as I feel maybe its not moving because its bottomed out on either side. So maybe if I unbolt the lower control arm and move it slightly, could that give an inch or two of wiggle room for...

    Replacing a worn front suspension

Thanks for the input guys, weather permitting cause north of me is suppose to have an ice storm, I may or may not be able to work my rig this weekend. My rig has a crazy story. I got it in 2003 when it was booking at that time around $38K. I stumbled across a Craigslist ad that the seller only...

    Replacing a worn front suspension

Appreciate it. I was under it today and I removed the key retainer, but for the life of me I couldn't get the actual keys out or the torsion bar to budge. Hit it with penetrating oil, letting it sit until next weekend. I did let the Eastwood Rust Encapsulator tack up, and top dressed the frame...

    Replacing a worn front suspension

So I've owned my rig for 20 years and the suspension is tired. Ordered new OEM Billstien shocks, 15 piece front end kit, as well as new sway bar bushings, and CV axle shafts. Also picked up some Eastwood Rust Encapsulator just to clean things up a bit. It was a California rig so it doesn't have...

Interior Door Panels (Reproduction or used OEM)?

I have a 1998 Chevy Tahoe 2-door with the tan leather interior. Drivers side interior door panel is SHOT! I know I can find cheaper (used) options on eBay. But my plan is to keep this truck long term (It's already been 20 years of ownership) so I'm wondering if it's worthwhile to go the...

Cat delete and O2 sensor work around?

I deleted the cats, removed the sensors. Check engine light is always on and has been for years as a byproduct. I looked into getting a reflashed ECM module, but it was a lot of money and my Tahoe soon there after it was no longer a daily driver. Now it just tows my race trailer to the racetrack...

    Threw a P1875 code today?

No other work done. What had happen was I had a parasitic draw on the electrical system. Had a clicking noise that sounded just like the turn signal was on. Reached my hand under steering shaft and found the clicking noise and vibration was coming from my 4WD control module. So I replaced it two...

    Threw a P1875 code today?

Towed my trailer to the race track, truck drove fine but about half way there my Service 4WD light came on. Never seen that idiot light before. Looked down and noticed the lights on the push button 4WD was not lighted up. Got to the track and scanned the computer, got two codes: P1875 code-...

Anyone installed the HT383E in their Tahoe?

I popped for the GM 350 stock replacement back in 2017. Engine builder gave it the hanger orange treatment. Paid $2,098 for the engine shipped to my door. About the same getting it installed.

    The 2 Doors are now Tweeners . . .

So funny story about how I aquired mine, yours is a gem, mine was simular when I found it. Here’s the story: I hunted Craigslist for years looking for a 96-99 2 door Tahoe. Then in 2006, I found my 1998 for sale for $5,000 with 60K miles. I stumbled across the ad minutes after it was posted. My...

Help me ID this part (parasitic draw occurring)

So I am in no way electrically inclined. So I’ve been experiencing a parasitic draw and what sounds like the clicking like my turn signal is on when it isn’t. So I stuck a light tester on the negative side of the battery and just started pulling fuses to see if it stopped (the light on the light...
