    Tune voided my Yukon warranty

Whether my vehicle is under warranty or not, I'm going to do what I want including tuning but it'd always be mild tuning. I tuned and deleted my 07.5 GMC Dmax at 12,000 miles 1 1/2 years after new. I had EFI engine and trans tuning on my Yukon, I didn't like the engine tuning the tuner tried...

Which engine oil do you use?

I'm not a fan going by the oil life DIC, mileage is what I go by. Usually every 6K or 12 months which ever comes first. On my 07 Yukon Denali 6.2, I use Castrol synthetic blend 5w30, GM specs suggest 5w30.

Known fact, put a closed catchcan system on a Dmax it will eventually cause the oil seals to blow out. No one I've read the past 9 years on Dmax diesel forums have had any luck with a closed catchcan system, without major oil leaks. That's why on my Dmax it has a open PCV re-route done in 2008...

I guess I was the chosen one, and your special. All I was doing was just giving a little heads up, if something like this happens to anyone, THAT'S ALL, no extra bull chit was nessary. After I installed the breather the oil leaks stopped. So please finger that one out. If you can finger out...

Not in my state Az that has emissions testing stations. If it's a closed catch can system you can dispute it if the fail you. More than likely they won't bother to challenge this. Open catch can, then yes.

    Regearing my xfe tahoe

If your towing, having lowers gear would be beneficial, if your driving mostly solo, I wouldn't bother. Dropping to lower gears will affect your mileage, 342's, 373's would be ok, I would NOT go 411's.

    Quick Drain Plug (oil plug)

Fumoto has a little black plastic clip, when in place you can't open the valve until you remove that clip. For about $1.00 ea. when I bought mine.

So you don't know who the manufacture is so if anybody might be interested in this model, I assume it's a catch can. With no instructions, is it labeled as to which hose goes where ?

    Quick Drain Plug (oil plug)

Yes, I have the Fumoto drain valve on 3 of my vehicles. The oil drains a little slower, but there is very little mess. No guessing where to place your oil pan to drain in. You can drain the oil and change oil the filter at the same time.

I'll add to this, about 8 months ago I had to replace my throttle body. I removed it to try cleaning it, it was clean with the help of the catch can and it was the original one. So I just replaced the throttle body, but the small oil leaks had already started after I did the catch can. The...

Someone mentioned earlier that the passengers side does not have as much blow-by as the drivers side does at the rear, so it's not needed. Actually you do need the passengers side vented into the intake, otherwise you will have big oil leaks. The PCV needs to have this so it will releave the...

After finding mine is connected the right way like Red Rocket & Bottomline 2000 said, I'm back to the oil leaks I had and no longer have by adding the breather. Just keep a eye, if any leaks pop up now you'll know what the cause might be.

Well dummy me I just looked and mine is plumbed correct valve cover in the top and the middle to the intake, sorry for the mistake.:sorrysign::killer::angry94: I don't know what in the heck I was thinking. Getting older does not always mean your getting wiser. You should be able to see in my...

IGNOR THIS POST, OLD AGE CATCHING UP TO ME TRYING TO REMEMBER BEFORE I LOOKED. You have your catchcan hoses switched. The valve cover hose connects to the side of the catchcan, the top hose from the catchcan goes to the engines intake.

Something for everyone to watch out for: I installed my CatchCan.com 1- 1 1/2 years ago. I had NO oil leaks prior to installing the CatchCan. After a few months I started noticing a small oil leak, I thought was the oil drain plug gasket. My next oil change I went with the Fumoto valve with new...

2007 Yukon Denali 6.2l Engine Knock After Start-up

THANKS My only goal was to have the proper GM oil filter on, in case the dealer needed to do repairs and GM questioned anything. GM I don't care about keeping happy they have screwed me around enough one way or another over the past 5 yrs, with the 2 new vehicles we bought the same day...

2007 Yukon Denali 6.2l Engine Knock After Start-up

I have been using Castrol Syn Blend 5W30 and have for almost 5 yrs. The dealer used AC conventional 5W30 on this recent oil change. I just wanted to make GM happy before they did any repairs and have the A/C oil filter on. I think I'm done with using Napa Gold/Wix oil and fuel filters. The...

2007 Yukon Denali 6.2l Engine Knock After Start-up

A little up date, I had let the Dealer change my oil and oil filter with a A/C Delco oil filter to satisfy GM so when I was going to take it back for the NOT NORMAL so called PISTON SLAP. Well NO MORE noise, its back to normal with out the knock. So it appears to have been a defective NAPA...

2007 Yukon Denali 6.2l Engine Knock After Start-up

What I did was I left my Denali over the weekend so the engine was nice and cold. I then arrived @ the dealership Monday morning and held their hands as we walked out to my vehicle so we all could hear the normal  piston knock together. The GM people are not to be trusted when alone.
