    Engine dying while rolling

I went out to see what it takes to remove the middle seat. I was done with the fuel pump swap in about an hour and a half. This access panel was very easy to create with a grinder and cut off wheel. If you do the same take note of the wire harness and fuel hoses, air return hose I'd imagine...

    What happened?

Reminds me of when I had a crazy grinding screech sound. Inconsistent. After changing out my e-brake pads (which can make a similar noise) I found it was a wheel bearing. I got a working e-brake out of that misdiagnosis.

    Engine dying while rolling

The ground wire was false hope. My guess is it gave it enough power to fire up 2 last times. I am gearing up to cut a hole in the floorboard to change the fuel pump. I will try to get pics. On another note MY TAHOE SSV HAS NO FUEL PUMP RELAY OR FUSE #20 IN THE FUSE BOX. empty where they should...

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Found and fixed fuel pump ground fault. Stopped shaking my fists at the sky.

    Engine dying while rolling

UPDATE. The problem was due to a faulty fuel pump ground to the chassis beneath the driver door. Problem solved.

Excuse my typo. I meant Crankshaft position sensor.

    Engine dying while rolling

So far it is not battery, alternator, fuses. Dash light up but nothing happens when full turn. Im not thinking starter or wire because that is not in the equation when rolling. Im thinking ignition switch but more likely the camshaft position sensor. Could explain the strange new sound. Could be...

    Engine dying while rolling

Engine dying while driving. No check engine light. No codes. It has been making a sound lately that sounds like a bad pulley bering or a loose shroud. Can't find it yet even with my mechanic stethoscope. I changed the idler pulley with no change. It was low on coolant, I put some in, died while...

    Remote kill switch

I installed a remote control kill switch. $35 on Amazon. Remote control 250ah negative battery disconnect. It worked great Im amazed. But then I thought- there is a potential for intermittent connection. Especially off roading. And although I've seen the inside of the remote switch on the...

Will a DOD delete fix a lifter tick?

I found that crazy crust on my cylinders came from the PCV hose into the intake palenium after I cleaned my cylinders during my delete, soon after the PCV stopped working and I had a big oil burn from the oil. I also had to reseat my head gaskets, seperate issue. So I got back in there. I had to...

Finally happened: '19 Escalade lifter failure

It might be worth changing your valley plate. Your plate has oil cyliniods that govern the oil delivered to the lifters. These cyliniods can clog with sludge. If it works you shouldn't even have to open your heads. Just a thought. I wished I tried that half way through my delete because I...

Will a DOD delete fix a lifter tick?

Keep your stock pushrod length before you get into more trouble. Try to locate the tick with a mechanic stethoscope to point you in the right direction.

    Keep or Sell

As far as I know that is not your average torque converter. The Schaeffler LuK TorCon 6L80 is a high-durability, new (not remanufactured) torque converter designed for 2007–2020 GM vehicles with 6L80E/6L90E transmissions. It features a patent-pending design to prevent common failures, handles...

Retired 2019 PPV Tahoe. Rear windows inoperable

Inside the switches themselves a contact piece of metal has been removed, disabling the actual switch. Then they snap it together and reconnect it even though it has no function.

Nice badge! You've got a fan right here. Im not the only one. I did a mechanical delete myself and it means more to me than to not make a badge.

Cooling fans coming on when not needed

SOrry it took me so long, I will turn on notifications. If that is another box located under the main underhood fuse box- then, no mine does not have that. My truck is not hybred. 8 cillindars all the time as the engineer intened. I ve been thinking of adding another box because Ive piggybacked...

Installing 2" level spacer on top of struts

Did you do it? How I installed 1.5" alluminum lift spacers on the bottom of the front shocks on my 2011 4x boarder patrol truck and it leveled perfect. 2" might get you a touch higher in the front than the back. I love my 1.5"s.

Engine oil cooler line removal question

No sir. I pulled off my skidplate in the front, I have a boarder patrol truck. If you pull off your bumper or skid plate it makes it alot easier.

Engine oil cooler line removal question

I changed my oil lines yesterday on my 2011 SSV 4X4. I did not have to remove the differential like someone said. It threads through comming out torward the back and in torward the front. I seperatded my front driveshaft- 4 bolts and esily slides out of the way. I left my oil filter out- really...
