Was that the local pick and pull. Grabbed these manifold pipes for my LS swap. Have never seen these before. Is it some kind of emissions packing? Was off an early 2000s Tahoe. I guess I’ll hammer this stuff out.
Going to make my own 2 1/2 inch y pipe into 3” single exhaust. No cats. Should...
Rear hatch won’t unlock. When I cycle the door locks, I can hear the rear hatch mechanism locking, but nothing happens when unlocking. There’s no way to open it with a key. Both the rear glass and the rear hatch remain locked.
Is there a secret release somewhere? I guess I could attempt to...
I just picked up a '05 suburban for $1k that was totaled due to sliding off the road into a drainage ditch. Front frame horns are bent up but engine and trans seem unscathed. According to gauge cluster, engine has 228k and found a receipt for the 4l60 being rebuilt by a local shop 50k miles ago...
I have a blackbear tuned 2003 suburban z71 5.3 4x4 3:73. I have a afe cold air intake and replaced stock muffler with a magnaflow. Stock cats. I hear a tick on cold startup which mostly goes away when at operating temp but I’ve already replaced manifold gaskets and all broken bolts except the...
I have these clusters for sale.
Denali cluster, 149K rebuilt a few months ago, everything works great. See ebay description and pics for more details.

I got tired of the oem yellow white red tail lights and switched them out with these oem style dark red / smoked taillights. Can be found on Amazon and eBay from a variety of sellers. $80 - $90 for the pair.
Box arrived saying off road use only but they have DOT stamped on the lens.
Now I...
Unfortunately broke 3 of the 8 fuel injector clips. 5 released without issues. The other 3 broke when I was releasing the injector plug. They still plug into the injector but they can now be pulled off by just tugging on the wire.
Is this a big deal? Do I need to replace the entire injector...
From some YouTube videos, I’ve educated myself on monitoring short term long-term fuel trims to diagnose intake, leaks, or bad oxygen sensors. I recently replaced all four oxygen sensors new spark plugs new wires suburban runs very good but fuel mileage isn’t the best 14-16 on the highway at...
Odd Bose radio issues. No sound when cold. Randomly powers off for a few seconds. Occasional theftlock briefly then works fine.
I have a 2003 suburban z71 with factory 6 disc in dash cd receiver. When it’s colder than 50 degrees the radio powers on but now sound or door chime until the cabin...
I have an 03 suburban and 97 k1500 that sit days / weeks at a time.
Anyone recommend a solar battery charger? There's so many on Amazon, wondering if anyone has one they recommend.
Also thought about adding a second battery, apparently you can add a second battery without isolator if both...
Hi All,
I made some videos of my new to me 03 suburban z71 5.3L. I've done a ton of work to it (see my post in welcome new user thread). It has a 2" front torsion key lift, 1.5" rear coil spring spacer and 33" BFG K02 tires.
Part I
Part II
Hi All,
Here's a 0-60 in my Blackbear Tuned Suburban. If it seems slow, I'm at 6900' elevation which equals 21% power reduction since you loose 3% hp & tq for every 1000' elevation gain. Take a second off the time for a near sea level run.
Stock manifolds
Afe Momentum GT 54-74101 CAI...
Hi, this forum came up from bing / google search results for issues I was having with my new to me 2003 suburban z71. Wasn’t looking for a suburban but a friend wanted it gone and the price was too good to say no. He did basic maintenance but it needed a lot to make it road trip ready.
Here’s...
Anyone know what the difference is between these two generations?
What was changed on the later versions to increase +10hp and +5tq. Intake? Cam? Just the tune?
I have an 03 Burban early build with 8th digit T = LM7 so I got the 285hp LM7. I did get it blackbear tuned which definitely woke it...
