Motor mount, slip yoke or Diff? Clunk!

Interesting, the RCA’s can cause a clunk like that? I replaced my traction bar and inspected them. They were tight, and the bushings looked fine but i didnt get in there with a breaker to really see how tight they are. Im probably gonna get it up on a lift and have someone sit by the...

Motor mount, slip yoke or Diff? Clunk!

Is your truck 4wd? Mine is 2wd and I don't believe I have diff specific mounts. It's my rear pumpkin that integrated into the axle.

Motor mount, slip yoke or Diff? Clunk!

So here's my dilemma. I've had a nasty clunk with my yukon since I bought it. Happens every time I got from P to D to R, every time I accelerate hard, every time the transmission shifts and every time I slow down. I've been putting it off but I've been slowly narrowing my list of what it could...

    Tracking down A/C issue

Thank you for all the great advice. This was the type of quirky I was looking for. I'll change both valves/seals before I re-pressurize the system.

    My 04 Tahoe Build!! Updated.

Not my style per say, but very clean! Definitely like the cluster, can you post more pics of the mods you did? I'm sure I'll find some inspo with the custom stuff.

    Tracking down A/C issue

Interesting, I'll double check that thank you. Yes. I'm going to do this the old fashion way. Get a gauge reading of the hi/lo with the car off and with it on, with the a/c on. Then i'm going to recover the system, check vacuum, then refill with dye and track down the leak/issue.

    Tracking down A/C issue

So I checked the compressor fuse and it was fine, and I swapped relays with the one beside it, and the compressor clutch is now engaging. It clicks on every 15-30 seconds or so, but still no A/C and the fans behind the rad aren't turning on. I ran it for a few minutes to see if anything would...

    Tracking down A/C issue

I'll give this a shot and report back

    Tracking down A/C issue

To follow up, I turned on the truck, set the front and rear climate control to full blast at 60 degrees. I went to the engine bay and the compressor didn't kick on, nor did the fans air was blowing in the interior. I believe a relay/voltage test from the fuse box is probably next plan of action.

    Tracking down A/C issue

Hey all, My a/c isn't working and I need help narrowing it down. My trucks heat and a/c both weren't working, which ended up being a bad door actuator. I replaced that, reset the HVAC controller and the heat was working, but not the A/C. My rad blew up and I took it to a shop to fix. They said...

Denali projectors vs aftermarket vs LED in halogen headlights

Yeah, that's why I'm leaning to OEM denali headlights. I think I'm gonna do that and go from there.

Wiring Dash Cam for Power with Key?

I ran mine into my head unit. So i would use the radio power or HVAC power.

Denali projectors vs aftermarket vs LED in halogen headlights

I'm looking around at ways to improve my lighting. There isn't much option for what I want so I wanted to get some opinions. I've always installed HID's in projector housings, and I still feel that's what I want to do. I found new denali headlights on carparts for $190 or so but I'd probably...

    Replacing Transmission Checklist

Thanks Rocket Man. Another question for you... as I was driving tonight I noticed the rough 1-2 shift and flare were somewhat inconsistent. The flare would be a 500-750 rpm jump at certain throttle inputs and then 250 at others. I also did a WOT pull and didn't notice any shift hesitation and...

Okay so I should be good to go then? I'm going to do some more research as well.

    Replacing Transmission Checklist

So my 2-3 third gear is now slipping (flare shifting) and I'm pretty convinced the tranny needs to go. 200k miles on her. I'm looking around and I think the cost of a new/refurb 4L60E isn't worth it for a '03 Yukon with 200k miles. I called a local junkyard and they offer a 90 day warranty for...

    Adding amp and subwoofer

Gotcha! Thank you. I'm gonna try and understand what you wrote lol cause all of this is foreign to me but I added the amp to my cart.

    Lifter noise

This made me realize my truck has tick too... I'm gonna put some Marvel Mystery Oil in her and bring up my next oil change by half and hope that helps. I noticed some sludge in the oil pan when I replaced my gasket so I'm gonna assume the engine is dirty.

    Adding amp and subwoofer

I'm not too sure as I haven't checked the back of my head unit yet. Here's what I'm looking at for a kit, I'd appreciate your input. JBL 8" Sub https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QLN3VJS/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_3?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 8 gauge wiring kit...

    Adding amp and subwoofer

I want to do the same, I'm thinking of putting an 8" in the 00-02 stock location. So far I think adding a separate amp for just the sub powered directly to the battery, spliced into the ignition power and running rca's to the head unit. Only thing is I don't know how to pair a sub to an amp...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I hate uploading to forums but here she is! Before and after. I have to level the front, but I'll do that when my new rough country shocks come in!

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

That's what I'm thinking [emoji2959] But otherwise I got about 4" in the rear and 3" in the front and she looks so good! Even with the mismatched shocks she drives amazing! No more jumping and bouncing around anymore. Completely new truck. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
