    Front recovery points and Setina

Hm, not sure if my buddy has any GoRhino bars. I'll ask. Maybe he has stock tow hooks too, since they get removed for the Setina

    Front recovery points and Setina

For those of you with a Setina push bar, what have you done for front recovery points? My 2016 PPV has no tow hooks or push bar currently, but a buddy might have a Setina push bar for me.

What did you do to your 2015-2020 K2XX Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I do carry a couple packs of assorted fuses of the types I've seen in the vehicle, but does anyone have a complete list of all fuses (incl fuse type) required for spares? I can go through the fuse-box diagrams, but if the work is already done, that would save some time.

Are We doing LED bulbs ?

Thanks; the SL2 Pro's are clockable. One of my customers called today stating their 2-way radio goes "out of range" when they turn their headlights on. It's a new Peterbilt with factory LED headlights. These headlights are supposedly designed to have "less" RF interference. So that's NOT...

That looks great! Just the right amount of lift and tire to keep things proportionate.

    Adding heated seats

My 2016 PPV doesn't have heated seats. I want to add them, and was considering an aftermarket set from Canada Seat Skins. The only thing I don't like is I can't add an element to the passenger seat base because of the weight sensor for the airbag (I think that's the case for any aftermarket...

    Road trip mods

I wanted a decent cell-phone mount that didn't use a suction cup, occupy a cup holder, or clip to a vent vane. It needed to be easily-visible from the driver's seat, and really solid. After doing the usual research, I settled on the Proclip mount. No holes to drill, and custom-designed for...

Are We doing LED bulbs ?

That's encouraging. Hopefully the UN9 radio suppression package will help filter any noise. I'm considering the Diode Dynamics SL2 Pro's because of the placement of the fan keeping the heat within the lamp housing which should melt snow that accumulates on the lens, and also their lifetime...

Are We doing LED bulbs ?

For those who have switched to LED headlights with their 2015-2020 Tahoe, do they wipe out your AM radio reception? I tried a set of Auxito's on my car, but the RFI wiped out about half of the signal strength so I switched back to halogen. All I listen to is AM.

    Road trip mods

Installed a Surecall Fusion2Go 5G cell booster today. Hid the inside antenna above the roof-mounted center console. Tucked the unit inside a rear panel next to the parking-assist back-up sensor control module. Rather than use the supplied mag-mount "shark fin" antenna, I used a Laird...

    4-low lock-out?

I took the old selector apart and saw how they locked out 4-low. There's an added screw head which forms a bump on the fixed shaft, and there's a piece of plastic glued on the inside of the rotating knob which forms a hard stop when it contacts the screw head. Once I removed the screw, all...

    Road trip mods

I needed radio communications in the Tahoe. My requirements were VHF, UHF, NXDN, DMR, coverage of Amateur and commercial frequencies, and trunking. Front panel programming (FPP) ability would be nice. After lots of research, I settled on the Kenwood NX-5000 series of radios: the NX-5700 VHF...

    Road trip mods

Unfortunately they still use K in my area, although it's mostly Ka now (and LIDAR). The only time I see X is on some of the older speed-monitoring signs, so I also have X disabled.

    Road trip mods

I think this is the best sub-forum for this thread; mods please feel free to relocate it if not. I'm starting with a 2016 PPV 4wd. Leaving the mechanicals stock. Want to add a few functional electronic things to make road trips nicer. I permanently-mounted and hardwired my radar detector. I...

    4-low lock-out?

Sound advice, although a brand new jobber switch was only $33 CAD delivered, so not worth my time to go to a wrecker and pull a used one. I opened up the original to see if I could see what they had done to lock out the 4-low position, but it wasn't immediately obvious and would require more...

    4-low lock-out?

I bought a jobber selector, which looks and feels exactly like the original. Swapped it in, and now I have 4-low.

Just guessing, but I think that's controlled by the BCM, so if you need that feature you might have to get a dealer to enable it.

Also, you might have surveillance mode enabled. From the PPV .pdf: The Surveillance Feature can be connected by installing a terminated wire in cavity 18 of the Light Blue colored BCM connector, X2. The wire and terminal part number to be installed is GM #13582297. When a customer-provided...

2016 Tahoe PPV daytime running lights

Sorry, I replied in the other thread before I saw you had made a new one. Look at your RPO code list in the glovebox and see if you have 9G8, which is "DELETE DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS AND AUTOMATIC HEADLAMPS".

    4-low lock-out?

I'm picking up a 2016 Tahoe PPV. RPO code list shows NQH. The 4wd selector switch is the version that has 4-low, but the selector cannot be turned to the 4-low position, only to 2, Auto, and 4-high. In addition, the 4-low label has either been carefully scraped off or blacked out (you can still...
