First time post here I have a 2006 Escalade with 180k it fires up just fine in the morning and and will fire first crank while hot/warm if it doesn’t sit longer than 20-30mins. Any longer than that while hot/warm and it won’t start on first crank. Fires right up on second crank no problem I do have an evap code. Anyone have experience with this can help me figure it out it’s been like this for years and I’d really like to fix it!

A few things come to mind. What evap code?

Put a fuel pressure gauge on it with a long hose; tape to windshield. See if that's the cause, with pressure leaking down.

Do a crankshaft position relearn (CASE) to verify that the CKP sensor is in sync; takes a bidirectional scanner.
