2005 Tahoe A/C Problem

Hey guys,trying to locate temp valve driver side,dealers say discontinuied,can;t find part number or part.Love my Tahoe,please help,Rick

Tell us more about the temp valve. Is it an HVAC part (actuator?) or something to do with the A/C system itself? Symptoms?

Some part numbers can be found on sites like www.gmpartsdirect.com by entering your VIN there and looking for the part. Then search the internet (eBay, Rock Auto, etc.) for OE or aftermarket parts.

The temperature is controlled by the blend doors on a 2005, these doors are adjusted with small electric "blend door actuators" that are a common failure point but are readily available

Usually there are 4 blend door actuators in the front A/C Heat system, 2 control the temp for driver & passenger, one control where the air comes out (defrost vent, floor or dash) and 1 controls the air supply source to the HVAC box (fresh air or recirculating cabin air); all 4 are usually the same part number

These actuators are attached with 2 screws & a simple harness plug, some are easier to get to than others but Google will find multiple videos on your generation of rig as to where each one is & how to to get at it
