i just ordered a transmission temp gauge from Autometer. has anyone ever installed one? and if so how did y'all wire it up to show the temp?

Do you know the DIC can display transmission temp? (Assuming you have the DIC buttons)
Of course it needs to be cycled to the trans temp display every time you restart the vehicle..
But if you only need it for towing or longer drives, it's not bad.

i didn't know that. still need to buy owner's manual. may order one tonight
when I set mine it stays on transmission temp. no matter what unless I change it or disconnect the battery. I monitor it any time I am driving and have for years
same with the silverado and the wifes burb

Could be they changed the behaviour some years, but most likely I just mis-remembered..
Also could be my autosync device, which I wish would stay on whatever display I had at shutdown..
-IF- trans temp does not show for you, another member had to change his buttons.
Not clear if it was faulty buttons, or if there was some variation..

07 Suburban Missing Key Features on DIC
My LT is missing some key features on the DIC. I don't have the trip meter, but not the fuel range, Avg Economy, Fuel Used, Speedometer, Trip Timer, Trans Temp, Instant Econ V8. I am missing all of these features. Can I add them by getting the DIC controls from a higher trim model?
