Hey guys. Looking at a 2025 Tahoe Premier Duramax, been sitting unsold at a dealer for about 9 months. Sterling.

Too long or still a buy at the right discount?

By the time I’m done with it looks like $20K (cdn) off MSRP

Things happen by sitting… ask to see the service records…. If it’s more then a battery, I’d pass… but the real choice is yours

400 miles on the Tahoe.

Saw the it still sitting at the dealer when we picked up a 2027 Bolt. could not pass on the bolt for the wife, $23.5K USD + tax

That particular Tahoe I had them price out a deal in in August 2025. was surprised to see it still there!

my '24 yukon was built in september... and i got off 9k that SLT. that is as much i would hope to get... my SLT '25 truck has a duramax in it. i am not a oil burner fan.. but it will do the job and tow like an animal. it does not get any mileage towing something like 7k lbs.. but it can do it. and you do not need put your foot the floor either.

20k off? i would listen to the motor.. drive it around at highway speed. it is under warranty... also... the duramax warranty is to 100k. that is why did the duramax in the first place.

That wouldn't have sat around in the States like that. There's plenty of demand down here especially if you can get them below sticker price....

There’s a brand new diesel, in Canada, sitting on a lot for 9 months? That doesn’t make any sense. The diesel is extremely constrained (I’ve been waiting since mid January for my Yukon XL Denali order to get picked up via an huge volume dealer) and almost impossible to get. Are you in a very rural remote area? Otherwise something’s off with this.

Side note: my dealer was just able to get me a dealer to dealer transfer on a Yukon XL Denali with diesel that someone else didn’t want with advanced tech pkg and sun roof. So I’m jumping on that. I’ve been emailing dealers from Toronto to Nova Scotia for the last 4 months and this was the first one that popped up within a few hours of me. Customer ended up not wanting it but otherwise these are unicorns and dealers are not moving much off MRSP. My dealer gave me a solid deal though.

They refer to this as "Lot Rot". It's primarily the sun that does the damage. Personally, I would pass.

I’d consider with a discount for sure if it’s the truck you really want.

The 9 months doesn't bother me. The 2025 does. I think you can push for 5k more.

Well, that’s gotta be around 20% off MRSP… pretty good for a vehicle that is “new”! Not to mention the HST savings.

I wouldn't worry, that's a significant savings, and it comes with new warranty to give you peace of mind. Jump on a good deal, in my opinion. We recently bought our Yukon AT4 diesel, and there weren't many left across Canada to choose from. We ended up buying one that had way more options than we wanted, but it was somewhat local, and wasn't black or red (the only remaining colours besides our Sterling Silver when we purchased). This was all at in the last 3-4 weeks.

How much more for a new one, 20k off seems decent but it also shouldn't be near msrp any more to begin with being a 25.
