The GM doesn't list the core thickness, but your OEM radiator should have a 1.3" thick core. The Denso you reference is the closest one to the OEM unit I've found. Almost all of the others I've seen are only 1" thick.Finally going to fix this problem as it's warm enough outside to work on the truck

Wasnt' the HD (2500/3500) radiator the same layout as the 1500, but had a thicker core? Someone mentioned, somewhere, that it had the same oil and trans cooler fittings.

Last feb 2022 I installed an Alloyworks radiator from Amazon. All aluminum with 3 rows….the core is the same thickness as the tanks. Survived one Phoenix summer so far and me driving Like ahole. And the price was less than half of OEM. Right now I think they are $215
Yay it survived one year…my OEM survived 20 years and still didn’t fail. I put another OEM one in as preventative maintenance, it should last at least another 20 years. If you read the whole thread, the OP has had enough of all aluminum radiators after several of them failing. It seems to be pretty common. Even radiator shops will tell you they fail. I sincerely hope yours lasts but unfortunately it probably won’t.
