    2008 Yukon Denali Brake pads

How can I tell which set of brake pads is bad just by looking at them? Both we're recently done, but I'm hearing a lot of squeaking and I can't tell if it's coming from the front or the rear... Last time a mechanic went down there with the flashlight and was able to tell me which ones were bad.

How to remove this stripped screw with no head?

2008 Yukon Denali. This screw, which holds a bracket in place popped off. The bracket is connected to the strut that lifts my tailgate up and down automatically. The problem is, since that screw is missing, every time it opens up, the bracket slides up, causing it to close back down because the...

It turns out the brake fluid was low because my rear brake pads are at about 20% and need to be replaced!

Update on my Stabilitrak/Break System alert:

2008 Yukon Denali: I posted a couple weeks ago about getting the dreaded "stabilitrak" alert. When this came on, it also triggered 2 other warnings on my dash: "Traction Control Off", and "Service Brake System." All these warnings lit up on my dash. After posting on here, it was recommended to...

    Question about Stablitrak

2008 Yukon Denali (185K miles). Just recently, my Stablitrak/Service Break System came on my dash. I've heard Stablitrak can be a nightmare...dozens of videos on Youtube on what to do. Can I just pull the fuse out to disable the warning on my dash? I'm hoping to sell it soon, so I don't want to...

Can someone tell me if our 2008 Yukon Denali is AWD?

Thanks everyone! I appreciate it. I asked this question on another message board and was called an "idiot" for not knowing what to look for. I joined these message boards to learn these things, not get called names. Thanks again!

Can someone tell me if our 2008 Yukon Denali is AWD?

I was informed that all Denalis come AWD standard, however, I just read that that's not true starting in 2008 they offered 2WD and AWD. I was told I could tell by looking at the front axle. I've attached pictures. Can someone verify if it's AWD or 2WD? Also, I did the vin thing (checking if the...

Recently had to change my rear tailgate window latch, made a video:

I'm not a mechanic, so please go easy on me. I made this video hoping that it might help others because I was stuck on a couple things: * Also, I bought the window latch on Ebay for a fraction of the $200 price tag that a dealership asks for.

2008 Yukon Denali Engine idling loud and rough when I'm stopped.

Yea, it was running like this before I changed everything. I was hoping this would stop the rough idling. There was an error code that came up, PO524, and the check engine light comes off and on once in a while. If I recall, the mechanic at the time said it wasn't necessary to change it and it...

2008 Yukon Denali Engine idling loud and rough when I'm stopped.

Not sure what's going on. I changed the air filter, and changed all the spark plugs and wires. It's still idling really rough. It vibrates my dash. I attached a video of the sound. again, this only happens when I'm stopped at a red light or something. I did not change the ignition coils when we...

2008 Yukon Denali. What are these parts from the rear glass called?
