    1996 Yukon Service/shop Manual ???

I have an original two volume set and all they say is C/K Truck on the covers. Has all the Yukon stuff in them.

The great thing about having your own programmer is that you can tweak a whole bunch of neat stuff.

I did mine. Speedo error annoys me.

    oil in my overflow

You won't really know until you get it apart. Any water in your crankcase? White clouds out of the tailpipe at startup?

    Getting transmission fluid changed......

Well, historically anyway. GM stopped licensing Dexron III at the end of 2006. Manufacturers may still be selling products labelled as "meeting requirements" or "compatible with" the Dex III requirements, but if it was produced after the end of GM's licensing agreements it cannot be labelled as...

    Need transmission advice please

My local rebuilder convinced me that it wasn't possible to get good results without rebuilding the 95 I had. He said not even GM could untangle when changes and revisions started and stopped during the year. All the worn/broken parts were interchangeable, but the electronics and programming...

First post - and power steering question...

Take your old pump with you back to Auto Zone and try to get the correct pump. If they can't help you, get a refund and go somewhere else.

    Need transmission advice please

I'll chime in with my experience. I had 4L60e rebuilt at a dealership at about 74,000 miles. The rebuild almost lasted that long and it wasn't cheap. Replacing it was not an option for me because it was an oddball revision. When it came time to do again, I shopped my state for a rebuilder that...

    G80 locking diff questions

I hit the 4X button every chance I get. If it's slick I use it. Easy on, easy off. Now, back in the days when I had to get out and lock and unlock hubs, I was as lazy as the rest. Today I consider it my civic duty to mitigate wash boarding on dirt roads and avoid polishing icy surfaces with...

    G80 locking diff questions

I check mine every year when it gets slick out. It's usually easy to put the right rear on a slick spot and the left rear on the dry. If it's on an incline it helps. Apply moderate power until the right rear slips, keep applying power until you get good lockup. NOTE! If you haven't driven in...

    4x4 engaging question.

Page 8A-38-2 of electrical diagnosis service manual indicates system volts on light blue wire (see expert comment above) and ground on black wire. Location "RH Rear side of Front Drive Axle" pg 201-23 fig 35.

    Tow hitch spare tire carriers?

So you're swapping your spare on and off quite a bit? I'm running 285's and have a 245 in the spare position, but I second SunlitComet's suggestion that a 265 should fit. Of course, a hitch assembly could effect that, but it looks like it would fit on my truck.
