Our Yukon is getting terrible mileage but it's still being broken in and all stop and go city driving thus far. We definitely did not buy it for efficiency but hopefully it improves above 12mpg, hah.
What's really quirky is the horn going off twice when someone gets out of the vehicle with key in and engine running, even with the driver still at the helm. This is quite annoying. I have no idea if this can be turned off.
I would definitely say paint is better than a non-hardening coating. We had some knucklehead scientists use bags of salt to hold down a tarp on some items in the bed of a brand new Silverado at one place I worked. They had to do a field demo on some hardware I built. The frame was totally rusted...
From what I can tell Sheridan Motors offers the cheapest factory backed plan but they do not offer any sort of financing, this helps them keep their prices lower. Also keep in mind there was a pretty substantial price increase in April if you are referencing any prices quoted in this thread. The...
I thought I had read the new trucks were getting painted frames and didn't think much of it when I looked at the diff cradle and transmission cross member were painted. We are near saltwater but not as bad as environment as up North.
Changed the oil at 500 miles since I had copious amounts of 0W-20 on hand after we traded in our Wrangler. Surprisingly the jugs said Dexos on them. The swivel type Fumoto valve I put on the pan is not ideal for drain direction but should clear the sway bar with a small section of tubing. Made a...
Thanks for the reply but that seems extremely overkill unless daily towing some heavy landscaping trailer. How are you draining without a plug? I only see a fill plug.
I realize this is an old thread but when looking for a new large SUV I am glad I started by looking at 2 year old vehicles. The GM vehicles seemed to really only drop in price by about 20% or so from new while the Wagoneer dropped closer to 50% in value. Kind of scary. I preferred the Wagoneer...
I installed the PPE pan on my Ram for the incorporation of a drain plug and the extra 2 quarts. It also has the stupid exhaust crossover right below it but had enough clearance to slide the pan over and in place. I thought I was being smart by adding a few quarts of fluid to the pan before...
Ok, thanks. I have not updated it yet. Already in hot water with the misses for adding a google profile and knocking out her Apply Carplay and other settings. It's her vehicle and I was trying to make the seats auto set based on which key we use. I think it was a simple setting for this in the...
Some are complaining of annoyances that came with the update that cannot be turned off or down such as louder door chimes and menu buttons. Anyone hearing this?
I have a Noco and a Gooloo or something from Amazon. When I check the Noco after a few weeks it's usually around 75% but the Gooloo is still full. I keep the Noco in my Son's 4 cylinder since it doesn't need as many amps to crank. We usually get around 5 years out of an OEM battery here in...
