update. went to drive the Tahoe for the first time in a while, and the battery was dead. Drained. Unplugged the AFM disabler, jump started the Tahoe and ran my errands. No issues on the trip. So it looks like I cannot leave the disabler plugged in all the time.
I actually have a second...
Driver side rear door - no issue
Passenger rear door - goes own but not up (on that door switch) goes up from the driver switch cluster
passenger door - no issue
drivers switch operates all of them, but is touchy on the driver side windows
2014 Tahoe LT
I can lower my front windows without issue, but when i need to bring them back up I have to try the switch several times to before it activates. this is from the drivers side switch controlling the front drivers and passengers windows. I have not tried the other individual window...
i have been doing some digging for info, it looks like the ability to self program fobs was removed for 2011 and up, but some vehicles that were "fleet" vehicles still had it. Which would explain how I was able to program the fobs for the 2013 since it was a PPV and was probably considered...
In the past, I had a 2013 Tahoe PPV. I bought extra keyfobs for it and was able to program them myself using the button for the trip meter since the PPV did not come with the DIC.
Now I have a 2014 LT with the DIC. I have a working key fob, but the area on it where the keyring goes through is...
For my 2014 Tahoe. is the plug in kind.
Questions.
Should I see any noticeable performance changes?
Is it safe to leave plugged in all the time? My Tahoe can sometimes sit for days without being driven and I have heard these can drain the battery.
Been a while since I have been on here. Finally got some new chonky tires for the Tahoe and also made time to install the GoRhino push bar. Which IMO was much more difficult to install than the Setina I had on my 2013 PPV. Next on the list of things to find time to do is getting rid of the...
I have a car with a dead battery. I pulled the Tahoe up to try to jump start it but every time i connect the jumper cables the horn in the Tahoe goes off. This never happened with my 2013 Tahoe. Whats going on?
The verdict is in. I like them. i can tell a difference between these and the ones they replaced. First pic is headlights only, second is fogs only. third is both together.
Installed the fog lights this afternoon. Took about 15-20 minutes. plug and play. They did come with a whole wiring harness though. I'll have to see how they look later tonight in the dark.
Installed new headlight bulbs>
Decided while I was in there to replace the fog lights with the new LED ones I bought and promptly broke the tab on the housings that hold the bulbs in. will now be shopping for replacements.
