    No codes, power loss

Blackhawk. Can you get me 2 Logs, I will be able to get an idea if the catalytic converters are a problem by looking at the Post Cat O2 sensor behavior. I may not be able to tell you they are clogged, but I can tell you I think they are not clogged. This could save you money and your wife...

    No codes, power loss

Blackhawk, You can graph out the Ignition timing and see what is going on if the timing is being pulled too much for some reason. I would probably limit OBDFusion to maybe 5-8 PID's to monitor to give a better response time for the timing changes. This can be very helpful, I used a different...

What is This sound from my engine?

You seem to leave out quite a few details when making statements. These trucks due also have lifter problem, but they are usually not going to be fixed with the miracle unicorn juice. If the oil changes have been stretched out too far then the lifters wear as I recall. Both myself an a number...

    No codes, power loss

From the first glance, I do not see anything that stands out and screams "problem". But I also understand the problem is somewhat intermittent mostly at highway speeds. A few items to note: 1. Engine coolant temperature looks good overall. 2. MAF so far on initial look appears normal. 3...

Looking over the Log now. Will comment in a bit.

    No codes, power loss

Simple thing, although you are not the current end user, it to just Uncheck the Lat & Long settings under Log Setup, Select Items to Log, GPS and then uncheck Latitude and Longitude. However, sometimes Altitude can at times be useful if the vehicle is being operated in an area with rapidly...

    No codes, power loss

OCTech is one of the best for App support. I personally suggest people turn of the Lat & Long function in the App so your location will not be identified. It might have been a problem where the Lat & Long was listed under the GPS Items to Log and the GPS was not turned on and this was a...

What is This sound from my engine?

This is the biggest Goat Rope/Cat Herding exercise I have ever seen. If the rear bolt is broken, I guarantee there is an exhaust tick until the engine warms up slightly. Ask me how I know! Put a freaking clamp in the thing and move forward. There is NO WAY a shop can tell if there is "air...

What is This sound from my engine?

I think you are mis-understanding. I do not think your vehicle has the Active Braking option that has 2 rear brake supply lines. This was a option on many trucks, but may have been standard on the Denali's. Looking at your picture, it appears you have a 5 port ABS valve, not a 6 port ABS valve...

HELP! '05 Denali Brake line routing

Many of the Denali's have dual brake lines to the rear of the vehicle because they have individual rear brake ABS not a single brake line for a common ABS for the rear wheels, this is why most of the Denali's have 6 port ABS valves.

What is This sound from my engine?

Tonyrodz Thanks for your comments, I think your case is not atypical. I know a few people this happened to as well and they all seemed to be caught totally off guard and were just plain lucky that nothing catastrophic occurred. Its not like this is current news, but some people either have not...

Battery dead after a couple days...

Start with the OnStar unit as 1999hoe above said. I agree 100% this is likely to culprit. Pull the Entertainment fuse, forget what number the fuse is, but I recall it is in the under hood fuse box.

What is This sound from my engine?

The NAPA guy is not driving the truck, easy for him to say. But take his word and choose to do nothing. Good luck when you have your family in the vehicle and you need to stop in a hurry. It is possible for BOTH lines to burst at the same time and they do. You should ask him about the rear...

He has not even found the bad part yet! This is a STANDARD option on all if these trucks, if you actually make it to year 10 without a problem you are LUCKY. If you are PAST year 10, you are a GAMBLER!!!

What is This sound from my engine?

When I did mine, Dorman did not offer the clamps. I think the Kral clamps are better overall. Yes, the drivers side rear is a PITA, but if you are determined you can do it. Nice to solve the cold start ticking and it will hopefully keep other bolts from breaking due to the weight and vibrations...
