I had my Escalade in the shop for A/C and "rough ride." When I picked it up they said it needed idler and pitman arms, shocks all around, new tires, and alignment - about $5000 worth! Just a follow-up: I replaced the rears w/ the Bilstein shocks and springs recommended here and it rides much better. I do have a question about the steering arms if anyone wants to go there.- bldn10

Question About Idler Arm
This is an old thread but maybe I'll get lucky. '06 2WD Escalade pushing 140,000 miles. In Jan. 2023 I took it in for essentially the 100K mile service. Liftgate actuator. Someone please explain this phenomenon. - SOLVED
OK, first jumped it reversed to make sure that was the solution, and it was. Cut the 2 wires and spliced them back reversed. Fixed. I feel better about WWIII w/China now. Thanks, everyone. -

Has anyone else run into this - I have bought 2 different actuators on Amazon and BOTH of them work backwards - lock unlocks and unlock locks. The motor moves the opposite direction it should . But twice?!? -

Third row seat question
I have an '06 Escalade w/ third row split bench. I took it out when I got the truck and now I want to sell them. The problem is that they are folded over and I cannot get them to unfold. The "1" lever will not budge. What do I do? -
Towing MPG (interested in all years, 2000 - 2017)
Seems a bit odd but I get about the same towing a 3000# car on open aluminum trailer at 75 in 3rd as driving around town in D - around 11. Can get 14 on the highway w/o tow.- bldn10

A DIFFERENT STUCK SPARE TIRE PROBLEM
I'll try to take a photo through the bolts holes but, like I said, my mechanism does not look like ones in the videos or like the one on your '03 Tahoe. IIRC there are no bolts holding it on - looks like it is welded or bonded. -
