I agree but it comes in handy when connecting radar detectors, dash cameras, bluetooth audio devices and so on that use powering on/off to auto connect and start automatically at ignition.
On the seat adjustment buttons on the left side of your seat, press the circular knob that has 4 indents in it towards the rear or toward the ground can't remember. Its called lumbar support.
Looks like its going to fit better than mine. I would use the Cubbycam mountbelow the bumper to mount the camera. I mounted mine in between the tailgate and bumper, but if i were to do it again that mount seems to be the cleanest.
That's a great idea I might do that now. It should look really nice with just the screen showing. As you see in my picture, I put a piece of plastic horizontal along the bottom of the monitor bc it left a gap. I would try a different cam though, I would find one that is not so wide but the same...
Here is the one I use: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0045IIZKU/ref=cm_sw_su_dp.
It's works pretty well but doesn't fit the hole perfectly. You can also have two input sources so I have my DVD player hooked in as well. There's probably better ones out there though.
Agreed unless your planning on going double din route put a little monitor in the cubby hole. Have look at what mine looks like, i used a different screen and camera cause that seller in the thread was non existent when i wanted mine but i think it worked out well.
Heres an idea for a monitor...
I think i used this one, i picked the one that didn't have the holes in it. I think it was in the kitchen sections or something like that. If you go to that link and pick your store it will tell exactly what isle and bin its at. For $6 it was well worth it, haven't had anymore phone or stuff...
I beliieve the model # is 211-2 and if you want led bulbs as well i recommend these ones from amazon. its a pure white light 5k and much brighter than the stock halogen.

I would just try again with spray paint but this time its all about the prep. A good sand down, wash, self etching primer, sand, primer( for good measure), sand, paint, then clear coat (gloss or matte).
