Has anyone painted their roof black??

I've searched like crazy but can't find a NBS tahoe with the roof blacked out. I think it'd look good on my white tahoe but I have an escalade roof rack and not sure how it'd look with the end caps painted black from the side. I've considered painting the top of an HD hood black as well to tie it in better but can't make up my mind.

So, does anybody have any pictures of a NBS tahoe with the roof painted gloss black?

I have seen a couple a while back on here somewhere. Just start searching lol cause that's how I found them. I think joshua95 or something like that has a HD hood with the top painted black but not the roof.

I liked it, but I wouldn't want it to be permanent. So I wanted like a gloss black vinyl so it could possibly be removed at some point.

Post a pic of your Tahoe so we can see what it looks like w/ wheels, etc. Ive seen it done many times and looks good when the rest of the truck can support a two tone like that.

I remember seeing his hood and love it! Maybe he should just paint his roof black too! haha

I like the look of a black top on a lot of the white cars I've seen but the tahoe with the escalade rack is throwing me.

I'll have an HD hood and different bumper when/if any of this happens but I'll throw a pic up shortly. I think I'll go back to the white wheels as well.

Depending on how much chrome you have on it, Id paint the rack rails completely black and delete the chrome up top.

I will also add new headlights & led turns with the new hood and bumper.

If you do Black roof then do black wheels... not white.

Maybe someone can do some photoshop of a few different colors and models with this paint job??? I would like to see it as well.

Dang it guys! I literally just sold my black 24s last week!

I like the black roof on the trucks and most cars, it's just the Escalade roof rack and shape of the top of the doors that's throwing me (if that makes sense).

None of this will happen soon so hopefully one will turn up in the mean time.

I just wish he had an escalade roof rack. I assume black end caps on a black roof would look best but I still worry if the profile view would make it look off.

You can see the 'dip' I'm talking about between the front and rear door in the last picture in the handicap spot. I'm not sure if this is all that obvious or just in this picture.

Plasti dip for sure since my buddy just bought the full kit and is itching to try it on something. Hopefully I can get this going one of these days...

I dipped the below the bottom of my body line on mine a while back. the first time it was.... OK. but after I figured out how to do it the 2nd time looked good! had it on for almost a year before I removed it

Plasti Dip it first to see. Cheap and quick to see and if not, no worries.
