For the dash, I washed it with Dawn, then a degreaser with scotch bright pad, wipe with a precleaner, and let dry in the sun. I used the scotch pad to try to smooth out the flaking edges as best I could and used the precleaner again (specific cleaner before dye is applied). I coated the bad spots first so it'd build up. You can still see a couple of spots on the dash, but they aren't really obvious any more.
What dye did you use?

I'll have to grab the can at home tonight. I don't remember the brand. Got it from Keyston Bros. They happen to have a warehouse just down the road from me.

The dash dye was SEM classic coat. Closest color they had in stock was 17263 Honda Classy Grey. It's damn close to the GM dark grey. I also used the SEM 38353 Plastic & Leather Prep spray. it's basically just a cleaner like mineral spirits, but it doesn't overly soften or distort the plastic.

Didn't notice any cut off. And nobody flashed their lights at me so I guess it was okay. Heading out of town this weekend so I guess we will see then.

I scored a pair of 2004 Denali 6.0 cats & y-pipes today from a rollover. Denali had 68K on the clock. This is the set-up with two separate pipes going into the muffler. Also picked up a nicer engine cover and airbox lid with a GM 6.0 sticker. Got it all for under $200.

I've already talked to one of the better exhaust shops in town to get the 6.0 cats installed and plumbed to the muffler. They can re-use my Jones 2590 muffler and turn it around (2 in and 1 out). I'll use the factory pipe after the muffler.

When my 6.0 ** was put in, the shop re-used the original 5.3 one piece y-pipe, which is my current bottleneck.

The 3700 only adds hd radio.

I have the 5700 and it's been great so far. It has its quirks as do most aftermarket radios, but it's been the best I have had so far. I think the HD Radio is worth it, it sounds SO much better than regular fm.

My main reasons for upgrading were Bluetooth for phone and streaming radio. Has both is also a dvd player for later down the road upgrading the rear screen to something bigger one my 10 month old twins get to the point to watch it. And it sounds awesome and very clear on the phone also.
What is the diff in the 5700?

The 5700 is the 7" with Bluetooth, sat, and hd radio.

My last screen was a 6.1, and I promised myself the next would be at least a 7 and I'm glad I did. Also like the network mode and time alignment.

My bluetooth sound is fairly quiet, I have to almost max out the volume to talk to people. How about you?

Yes mine is the same but everyone says I'm really clear. Like talking on the phone clear still even with the ac on. So I'm happy with the 6.2 I am looking at adding a bigger screen for the girls in the next couple years. As that rear screen is tiny tiny. And the stereo store said that they could mirror or loop or something so the two screens could communicate. So trying to plan a little ahead ya know.

Yea I am going to add head rest screens with separate dvd players so my 2 boys can watch 2 different things. You know they wont want to watch the same show lol

That and Im not fond of the large roof mounted screen that blocks the rear view mirror.

Yea I can imagine. Luckily my girls are only 10 months old so I've got a little while. My problem is I've already go the rear tv so kinda have to make use of it. Ya know. And I guess that's why they made side mirrors lmao[emoji12]

I thought the 5.3 and the 6.0 were the same Y pipe. I will have to check. I got mine complete in the garage. Do you have it on yet? any pic's?
