I spotted this the other day. Looked at it yesterday and truck is in great shape. Interior and seats are in mint condition. No rust on outside, only a few scratches here and there. I will be getting the car fax on Monday for it. Did a free vin lookup and so far it looks clean. It has 163,000 miles in it. Navigation, DVD player, fully loaded pretty much.

Link to truck with pictures.

Bad:
Check engine light on
Autoride suspension inoperative
Front axle seal is supposedly leaking
Headlights only work when on auto.

Isn't 2006 the year with wiring issues?

What are your thoughts on this truck? I could possibly get it for 8,000

Find out what the CEL code(s) are. Take it by autozone or such if you don't have a reader. Auto ride is fairly expensive fix, search the forums there's plenty of info on how to fix it or switch it regular shocks etc.

Car fax shows no accidents and 4 owners I believe. Suppose to drive it tonight. Maybe will scan check engine light then.

Yep. Four other people decided they did not like this particular one.

Biggest glaring issue is the check engine light is on, which means it will not pass inspection. Hence its illegal to sell.

Aprox 11k after all the tax/paper work, with 168k on the clock and its problems.

Run, don't walk, run from that one.

Just got back. Offered him 7k on it. He will check.

Code is p0455.

Headlights don't work either.

Transmission seems to shift fine.

Strong coolant smell though, not sure what that's all about.

Darn, thought maybe I had something there. Guess I will keep looking. Beautiful trucks and rode like a dream.

The pic of the rear tow bar showed a lot of rust. I see the dealer was in Wisconsin. I have bought many cars long distance. You should really look outside of the rust belt. My 2005 has the original paint on the frame. It was originally a Georgia truck, I brought it to Texas. The internet can be your friend when it comes to car buying, just know what to look for and be careful.

Here in CO a truck with that kind of miles and that many "issues" would probably go for around $3500 - $4000 or maybe even less than that.

I've seen quite a few Suburbans/Yukon XLs for sale in the 150k - 170k mileage range for around $5k - $6k.

Definitely clean inside and out with low miles!! It has different factory 20's on it than the normal CK805's. Just think it is way overpriced...should be able to get it for around 15K IMO.

I bought mine in 06/11 with 82K on it for 20K which back then I thought was fair.

I don't think I could get them to 15 unless you have good tips and advice lol.

Truck does look nice though.

Definitely looks clean for an 06, but really? 20k for a 06... no way. Here in texas that's a 12k-15k truck tops.
12k from a person, 15k from a dealership...

I hear ya. Doubt I'll get him to drop price by 4k though. Pre approval might not even help.
