Yea I really liked how wide they were but after getting narrower tires, it's surprisingly easy to turn the steering wheel now. Got my new head unit it. I love it!!!

Can you give more specs on the head unit?

Thanks

This head unit is amazing. I've owned 10+ screens a majority of them being pioneer and this is by far the fastest and best one I've had. It's also the first capacitative multi-touch screen that does pinch to zoom. The NEX series by pioneer is also the first set of aftermarket screens to get Apple CarPlay, and owning an iPhone 6 I wanted the phone integration. It also has dvd and sd card slots I can mirror onto my head rest monitors in the back. When you hit maps app on the screen it opens it on your phone. And vice versa. Same with music or any native app you see in my pics above. If the app isn't supported it just stays on the home screen. Bluetooth phone calls sound clear but using the Lightning usb Apple cable Bluetooth isn't needed to make calls just the data cable is needed.

Also forgot to mention the native navigation map from pioneer shows the speed limit on whatever road your on. Garmin/Tom Tom handhelds have been doing this for years and it's only now pioneer is catching on!!

Thanks I don't use an iPhone though but it does look like a good unit and Nathan recommended it too.

I/we use android phones. I am trying to plan out the audio/video for our '09 Tahoe, and Nathan brought up a good point on the drop down red DVD blocking your view, which is pretty limited as is, especially at night with dark tints.

Sorry for the thread hijack going to put a thread up myself to ask questions.

Yea drop down sucks. We have it in the 09 denali and it blocks the whole rear view mirror. The biggest upside to a factory system with drop down is not having to manually hit the power button after you turn the car on then change inputs on a remote (which is what I have to do with my aftermarket head rest and head unit setup) Versus in the factory setup the drop down is already on.

I love my onfair headrest DVD players. Especially because the young'ns don't argue over what to watch. Might be Chinese junk but these days, what isn't.

 truth. Yea another "pro" of getting aftermarket headrest is I can play a movie up front and mirror that to one headrest, then play a dvd that's in the other headrest so they can each watch something different.

Just ordered the Viper 5706V 2-way Security System w/Remote for the '11 Yukon too since it has no remote start:

Had to order this thing to get the Viper alarm above^^^ to work:
Omega Olmdball Omegalink Series Web Programmable All-in-one Immobilizer

Thanks for the comparison photos. Almost hate to install the HIDs I have sitting the garage. Surprising output from those LEDs.

I just noticed that some people on eBay are selling these as head light replacement for the low beam. Don't know if that's a good idea... Definitely good supplemental light but I'd want more for primary head lights.

Right, output is good but I doubt they've had time to catch up to OEM LED headlights. I think I might get a set of these for the fogs in my wife's LaCrosse. I've since fallen in love with the HIDs now in the heads/fogs in my Yukon and don't regret not doing the LEDs instead.

Wowee, I haven't been on here in awhile. Looks like you've been busy. Haha, it looks good man, I'm super jealous. Good choice on the rims too. I love it.

There's a set for sale on here for $75. If you go esky mirrors chrome handles are almost required IMO

I just ordered the chrome lowers to replicate the esky mirrors and chrome handle covers to see if I want to commit to changing out the handles and mirrors. A step up from photoshop for only $40 lol.
