Thanks to this forum I decided to go with the Yukon Denali 2015 w/8spd over the Tahoe LTZ.
Was driving home from Sacramento today and stopped at several dealers along the way. Ended up buying a iridium metallic w/ premium, open road, and 22" at the local GMC. I'll pick it up Tuesday as it was located in an other town.
Made sure the the vehicle was built after 10/6/2014.
My wife was set on a Tahoe LTZ fully loaded. The wife hasn't seen the Denali so on the way home we stopped at a few GMC dealerships today.. she loved it. So out with Tahoe and in with the Denali!! I'm happy because of the 420HP and 8spd.
Let me add.. we test drove both LTZ and the Denali 8spd... I liked the Denali acceleration without the sacrifice in fuel economy (in comparison).
Joining this forum and doing some readings sure help me out!

Will be a nice looking rig for sure! The extra power and gears will be nice too! And like ya say, not really any less MPG.

Thanks guys...
I got about 6k off msrp plus 600 Costco card (PS4 for the kids Xmas gift). I never buy extended warranty but looking at all the electronics ... I needed a little piece of mind.
I wish I would of gotten a deal like Laurel GMC but couldn't.

I was excited yesterday to pickup the Denali... unfortunately on the way to the dealer the sales rep called. Apparently the vehicle was sold by the original dealer that had it. :wtf: I was so pissed. They waited until the end of the day to tell me they couldn't get the vehicle. They did a search and could not find the exact color and option I wanted. They did have a Denali but it wasn't the color I wanted. I said no and got my down payment back.
Called a dealer 20 miles away and they said they will honor the price and order the vehicle so I will get what I want.

Rotten deal, man... Keep searching. Same sort of thing happened to me in my search for a 2015i.

I ordered the Denali... I'll wait 8 to 12 weeks for the exact one I want. The dealer in Seaside Ca. gave me a better deal and it comes with the security package.
I emailed Laura GMC just to see if they can sell to CA... they called today and they have the vehicle I want. I can't believe their price -- with a round trip air fare and the cost of shipping the car to CA still will be a better deal... LOL.
Why couldn't there be a Laura GMC in CA!!

No joke. I'm taking the family for a quick vaca to St Louis after taxes to pick up a new Denali if the local dealers don't get within $1500 of their prices.

Poker..
did your local dealer get within 1500? I got another call from laura.. wow.. they have the exact one I want 2015i Denali open, premium, and 22" and CA emission. 8k off. I can fly out round trip ~ 600 bucks plus the cost to ship the SUV to Calif. They would also arrange for a pickup and return to the airport at no cost. Pretty cool of them. Oh and the flight would have been a wash because of the Costco program but don't know the cost to ship a suv to California...
If the Seaside GMC dealer didn't work out I would have definitely would have done it. But they agreed to sell it for 6k off MSRP when it comes in Feb and also any incentives that may be offer at that time. So I ordered the exact one I want and they gave me the build sheet and order # so I can track it. It was such a painless process compare to the other dealers in the bay area.

are you sure laura said they would sell you the vehicle?

i was ready and willing to fly there and having the car shipped back to CALI, but they said they CANNOT sell to Cali due to the car not meeting CALI smog standards.

THEY WILL ONLY SELL ME A DIESEL VEHICLE. DUE TO DIESEL STANDARDS BEING COMPLIANT

I talked to Bob the internet sales manager at Laura. He said he had Denalis with Ca emmision. As a matter of fact the 2nd time he called he said he made sure the vehicle was "CA ready" and we started talk about flying over there to sign paperwork.
I was in talk with seaside dealer at the same time and got the deal I wanted so I didn't pursue Laura. So I don't know if Laura had a "Ca emmision" Denali or not but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt.:)

How much did that warranty cost? what's the going rate for these on Yukon Denali XLs? and what does it cover? (7yr b2b?)

I'm just wondering what part of "peace of mind" isn't a part of a bumper to bumper 36 month warranty?

It amazes me the amount of guys who spend thousands to buy thin air.

You are correct!! Thankfully that deal feel through because they didn't deliver the vehicle. I did try to cancel the "extended warranty" but then the dealer said he will drop the $85 per month added to the loan due to the extended warranty to $43 to the monthly payment. I accepted it as it was 100,000 miles 6 years bumper to bumper. So I was thinking they cut the price of the extended warranty by half. $5100 to $2580. But when I saw the new contract the $5100 was still listed but the interest rate of the loan drop by 1%. WTF!! I asked why didn't I get the lower interest rate to begin with? Didn't really matter since they didn't get me the vehicle.
I got my deposit back and went to another dealer. When my Denali arrives I will not get the extended warranty. I also got pre-approved from my local credit union which the interest rate was lower than the scam dealer.
