Hi guys,
Brand new here, but have been lurking for a while.
I have a new 2015 Tahoe LT. I bought it from a dealer about an hour away and will drive there if I have to, but was hoping to solve this problem on my own.

My AC blows lukewarm air. I've got the temp set to LOW (all the way down) and the AC button is on.

I took a look at the owner's manual and it seems like I've got is set correctly, but it's just not working for me. Manual says there is a fuse box located behind the kick panels on the sides of the dashboard that are revealed as you open the door. For the life of me, I can't get them open.

Anybody have any thoughts on how to get to the fuse panels? Or any other ideas on how I can get the cold A/C working?

Thanks!

Same thing happened to us today....as we were getting ready to go on vacation. Did I mention the temp in SC was 98? Not a happy customer!!!

I thought I read on a different post that they found the system had over charged at the factory.

My Ac goes out on 2015 and starts working randomly

My Ac goes out on my 2015 Tahoe randomly blows hot and then I bring it to dealer, they can't find a problem because it starts working again. I checked online and people have been complaining on Edmunds about same issues. If you know what it is, please tell me so I can get it fixed. It's 100 degrees in Louisiana and I never know when I will have AC.

This AC issue seems to be isolated to Tahoes only. Anyone with a Yukon reported these issues?

And still curious to see if the overcharge issue was a long term fix.

It was a coupling halfway back in the car. Cross threaded, which caused all the coolant to leak out. Let me know if you want more exact info and I'll try to see if the dealer took notes.

I took mine to the dealer...he said there was a service bulletin on the "overcharged" A/C issue. I haven't had it happen again....although it's only been 6 days.

A/C

Ok..I have 7K miles on my Yukon. Yesterday we drove 3 hours (170 miles or so) in 91 degree heat (low humidity) and the A/C worked great. I shut the engine off at my house and took 10 minutes to load a cooler with ice and gator aid , then started her up again to take my daughter to horse back lessons. The A/C stopped working. ARGH.

I will be dropping it off to the dealer for troubleshooting. I already had an appointment for a recall on the instrument cluster and the transfer case.

I'm just hate the heat and frustrated that this could/has happened.

A/C Update

dealership called me back. It seems the reason my A/C failed is a rock put a hole in the condenser up front.

Really? What are the odds? Now, this is my first GM product (never had a rock come thru the grill on my other vehicles). The front of the grill and it is very open. $800.00 estimate from them. Holy Cow....

So, next question, how can I prevent this from happening again? Do I need to change grills?

This sucks....just need to vent.

Thanks,
Steve

2015 Yuukon AC Issues

Like the Tahoe apparently, the 2015 Yukon has AC Problems as well. Bought it new three months ago and have 2000 miles on it. When started with the remote or manually the AC blows hot air even after driving several miles.

To remedy this, I have to restart the truck several times or manually turn the AC off and on several times. After being aggravated with it, I took it to the dealer today. At the end of the day, the Service Manager called and said they could not find anything wrong and the AC was working fine, when they started it.

I explained that this happens intermittently and has occurred at least thirty times since purchasing this truck. This is my third Yukon and I've never had an AC issue until now.

I'm at a loss here. Sure would like some help from GM Customer Service.

I have a 2015 Yukon and am having the same A/C problems. The A/C works intermittently. One day the entire vehicle would blow nothing but hot air and the only way to get it to blow semi cold air was to shut off the rear unit. Today the front unit works fine, but cold air will not blow from the rear unit. This is not something I expected from a vehicle as pricey as the Yukon, but I am taking it to the dealer today for evaluation. Lets hope they determine what is wrong with it and don't tell me it is nothing. I live in Texas and the 100 degree days are in full swing. I did not purchase a new vehicle to only be able to drive it in the winter.

When I picked up my new Tahoe about a month ago they were taking three new ones off the line and into service for AC issues. Said they were over filled from the factory. Some of these issues in this post sounds like different issues. Please keep us posted in case we run into the same problem. Good luck with your repairs.
