I'm just getting these up cause it took me 2 weeks to get them off my camera. This was right after I i stripped the wax job from the dealership and redid it to my liking.

2015 LTZ with the entertainment package. Diamond Tricoat. OEM 22" rims from Chevy from Chevy for the summer with the Bridgestone tires they recommend. I also have the standard 20" rims the LTZ comes with for winter duty. Also had the exhaust tip from chevy installed (dealer payed for it), and the tow hooks from chevy installed to break up that front end a bit (dealer payed for those also, but wasn't very happy when they found out they had to also pay for the new lower bumper filler kit to install them!

Detail wise I used (for those who might wonder):
1. Clayed with Blackfire clay
2. Polished with Pinnacle Cleansing Lotion (non abrasive)
3. Sealed with Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant 3.0
4. Waxed with Wolfgang Fuzion wax

I'm pretty happy with it so far. Big change from the 2011 LTZ we had. My wife wanted the Diamond tricoat this time vs Silver. I like it, but it's going to be a bear in the winter to keep detailed. I really really wasn't sure about that front end from the pics but when we saw it in person it was a lot better (on the LTZ models).

Her are some pics! Enjoy!

Gorgeous!! That is my favorite new OEM wheel!! Congrats......

Thanks man. What a crap shoot it was. Nothing like dropping a couple grand on a pic! All I had to go by was the Internet page with all the choices. I settled on these cause they were the most basic. Tough sell with my wife but showing her how much time it will save me in the winter with rim care kinda sold her.

Very nice! And great detail job!!

Thanks. I try! Hey if I'm keeping it for years on end I want it to stay nice! Once it's paid for I don't care! Lol

Sweet looking ride Jim! White diamond Tahoe is the way to go, but of course I'm biased ;). I love your wheel choice too, those are awesome!

Thanks. Lol. I am so used to silver but my murano is pearl so I know the color well bit it's tough in the winter. U have to clay or polish it like once a month around here to keep it free of grime. I'm hoping this Wolfgang sealant helps. First time I have tried a claimed longer lasting sealant without getting into a opti coat seal system.

Awesome truck, detail and pictures! I love WDT on the LTZ. And love the rims too!

I just found out chemical guys (CG) is eligible for amazon 20% subscribe and save discount so I ordered a bunch of stuff and plan to do the following...

- chemical guys citrus wash to strip
- iron x
- meguiars clay
- CG jet seal
- CG Pete's 53

I usually just clay and use Maguiars gold class wash and NXT tech wax... Thought I would add a step with the iron x and sealant.

The citrus strip is good. Does a nice job to get u going. The iron x. . . New truck? I would hope you don't get much color change? If not a new truck deff a nice extra step to make claying a bit easier. After you clay I would deff still polish. I know some guys say you don't have to but I'm a believer if you are going this far another hour is deff worth it. I even polished with the new truck. It makes sure you get everything off before you seal. Especially if you are going to seal! Don't go through all that work with the iron x and not do the polish. How long does their seal last? This is the first time I ever used Wolfgang sealer and I am pretty happy so far. I'm also using their spray sealant after each wash which has a 12 hr cure time too so that is prob helping along the way I'm thinking. My wife is loving when I tell her she can't drive the truck after I wash and then do the spray seal. I have been trying to get it done right after work so it has 12 hrs before work for the next day.

Good luck with ur strip and seal. Grab some polish! Just a simple non abrasive one if it's a new truck. If you keep it clean already if not new then the same should be more than enough. Check out blackfire products. Down the road if you want to change up again. Wipe on wipe off stuff and really great lineup overall. They have a new black label line. I haven't tried any of it yet but it looks really nice.

Thanks for the tips. It is a new 2015 Yukon XL but was delivered by rail and I can see quite a bit of rail dust already imbedded in the chrome; so I decided to go iron x to get it all off from the start. Probably going to do my other car too. A pearl white prius; very pretty paint on an ugly commuter car... but I still like to keep it clean and being white it has some visible rail dust or other imbedded rust specs.

I'll look into a non abrasive polish while I am at it. Polishes always scare me on new paint... I suppose if it is non abrasive and applied by hand there is little risk. I just have bad dreams about swirl marks...

Jet seal is supposed to last 6-12 months... I'll follow up once I get it done.

deff purple up that paint cause of the rail dust! lol take a pic of it after a few mins! post that up.

there is no way u will swirl the paint with a non abrasive polish if you know how to clay. way easier to mart with clay vs a simple wipe on and off polish. no fear! look into blackfire or pinnacle. very soft on the paint. about as soft as you can get.

good luck. . . just take ur time. wash it, x it, polish it and let it sit for the night and then seal it up and wax after the next day. that way you won't rush it. while at it throw a second layer of wax on that bad boy 6 hrs later!.
