Just need a shop that won't dick you arround. They should have never taken this long. 2-3 days tops to determine you can fix something and it needs to go to the dealer. I hope they are paying your rental.

Too bad you don't live in Los Angeles = competition for you $$. More body shops with experience since people wreck their cars just trying to park at the mall. Hope it works out.

Hey Felix,
What exactly happened to the Avy? A deer? I tried reading back and lost patience.
I feel your frustration with the body shop. Alsoo those days without the car and it is still messed up. Then they comp a plea of aftermarket parts to get out of doing it properly.
Dealers like that are the reason why some people feel anything aftermarket is just rubbish.

So basically I hit a deer and it went into the shop January 30th. After 40 days I get it back and the overhead lights don't turn off at night when the auto low beam lights kick on. Also my reverse lights don't work at all. So I bring it back to the shop and after two weeks they tell me they cant figure out the issue and they had also brought it to the Chevy dealership only to be told it wouldn't be touched because of the aftermarket head lights and tail lights (don't know what the overhead console lights had to do with either of those btw). So i bring it to a custom auto shop that I've been to many times in the past and after two weeks they call and tell me they can't figure it out. So now it's at a different custom auto shop still troubleshooting the issue. It's been almost three months since I've had my truck. It's been a living hell and I wish they would've just totaled it and then I would've gotten a new truck :(

I would buy a set of OEM used head lights and tail lights and then have them figure it out.

That is unbelievable that nobody can figure it out, especially the dealership.
I am guessing something may have blown, or may still be shorted, and is causing all your issues.

Wow. Progressive called and said second shop said the wiring system is blown due to my aftermarket hid's. Everything up to now is covered but they won't fix it and I'd have to pay out of pocket from now on if I wanted it troubleshooted anywhere else.

The dealership charged a $40 diagnostic fee and To tell me that they wouldn't work on it because of the aftermarket heads/tails.
